[PATCH] drives: add CD-ROM disk images as read-only drives (RHBZ#563450).
The current add_cdrom way basically appends a new raw "-cdrom /path" parameter to the qemu invocation (even when using libvirt as backend), hence such images are seen as "CD-ROM drives" inside the appliance. However, there is no need for such particular behaviour, as they need to be handled as normal (read-only) drives. Adding CD-ROM disk images as drives also changes the

[PATCH 2/2] Fix handling of passwords in URLs
So far, passwords in URLs (eg http://user:password@host..) have been handled as part of the username, and thus passing add-drive path username:username:password ... instead of add-drive path username:username secret:password ... Fix the parsing of URLs to handle passwords as separate elements, properly passing it as "secret" parameter for add-drive, and properly readd it when

[PATCH 0/7 v2] Make copy_in & copy_out APIs, and use copy_in in customize
Hi, attached there is the second version of the patch series adding copy_in and copy_out in the library, mostly moving them from guestfish. It also adds the copy_in usage in virt-customize, as aid in a new image building. Thanks, Pino Toscano (7): cmd: add a way to run (and wait) asynchronously commands cmd: add a child-setup callback cmd: add the possibility to get a fd to the process

[PATCH 0/2] lib: appliance: qemu 2.9.0 supports TCG with -cpu host on x86 (RHBZ#1277744).
NB: This requires a qemu patch by Eduardo which is currently awaiting review: https://www.mail-archive.com/qemu-devel@nongnu.org/msg422959.html So not to be applied yet unless that qemu change goes upstream. Rich.

[PATCH 0/3] Fix guestfish edit command.
This is a further, more comprehensive fix for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=788641 The guestfish 'edit' command (aka 'emacs', 'vi') suffered from the same problems as virt-edit and more. It could have failed and left a partially overwritten file, and it didn't preserve permissions etc from the original file. These three patches fix all this. The first

[PATCH] fuse: In mount-local-run, test if root filesystem has been mounted (RHBZ#1057504).
It is never normally valid to use the mount-local* APIs when you haven't mounted some filesystems in the libguestfs namespace. If you try it, it results in some odd errors. The mount-local-run call is successful, but subsequent operations fail: $ mkdir -p /tmp/mnt $ guestfish -x -N fs mount-local /tmp/mnt : mount-local-run libguestfs: error: lstat: lstat_stub: you must call 'mount'

[PATCH 00/13] code refactorings for tools
Hi, this series does a couple of code reorganizations/refactoring in code used by tools: the windows path handling code, and the two types of file editing (using editor, and using perl expression). There's still a code duplication between the two variants of file editing, but it is just within a single source, and can be easily solved now (planning as next step). Pino Toscano (13): edit:

[PATCH 0/3] RFC: Allow use of external QEMU process with libguestfs
This attempts to implement the idea proposed in https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2010-April/msg00087.html The idea is that an externally managed QEMU (manual, or via libvirt) can boot the appliance kernel/initrd. libguestfs can then be just told of the UNIX domain socket associated with the guest daemon. An example based on guestfish. 1. Step one, find the appliance kernel/initrd
