isolinux: Generate GPT and Mac bootable images
EFI systems typically don't support booting off ISO 9660 filesystems,
even if written to USB sticks. This patch adds support for generating a
GPT that covers the stick as well, with an additional partition entry
pointing purely at the secondary El Torito image. When burned to CD the
secondary El Torito will be used as an EFI boot image, and when written
to a USB stick the GPT partition

[PATCH] nv50: don't allocate in the param buffer
Since we upload all parameters on every program / constbuf change,
we don't have to reserve space and can just use the whole buffer.
Doesn't apply to the buffer holding immediates.

scp: Problem when source and destination are identical
If the source and destination file are identical, the receiving scp
truncates the file. On the sending end, read() returns 0, and garbage
is sent instead of actual data, and the receiving end puts it into the
file, which at least confuses the users.

[PATCH 2/6] utils/isohybrid.c: Correct blocking factor in APM partition block counts
The block counts in the APM partitions assumed 512 bytes per block,
whereas the start block numbers assume 2048 as announced in the APM header.
This change divides the affected block counts by 4 to correct the assumption.

More posix_fadvise stuff.
More posix_fadvise stuff, and document what Linux really does
with these calls.
Also fixes a nasty bug in virt-builder.

debian (1.2.22-3~bpo8+1) package build failure
I'm trying to test a trivial patch to set FD_CLOEXEC on the
flintlock lockfd when using F_OFD_SETLK and am running into a
build failure even in an unpatched state.
This is on a Debian jessie amd64 system building the
jessie-backports version. The stable version (1.2.19-1+deb8u1)
works and builds fine using the same commands, however I also
encountered a similar build problem in a sid chroot

The way we used posix_fadvise was wrong, and yet right!

- Catch locking failures in {set,clear}_extent_bit
- Push up set_extent_bit errors to callers
- Push up lock_extent errors to callers
- Push up clear_extent_bit errors to callers
- Push up unlock_extent errors to callers
- Make pin_down_extent return void
- Push up btrfs_pin_extent errors to

Announcing a patch series for isohybrid.c
Hi,
following will be 6 patch proposals for isohybrid.c
1: Encode GPT partition names as UTF-16LE
2: Correct blocking factor in APM partition block counts
3: Correct end block address of first GPT partition
4: Write GPT backup to the very end of the image
5: Change all fseek(3) to fseeko(3)
6: Introduce option --mbr and make isohybrid.c compilable standalone
If the form needs adjustments,

Segmentation faults on SEXP conversion
Hello -
I am making a first attempt at writing a simple C++ routine to print
out R objects (this is a simple proof-of-concept as part of a larger
package development). The relevant C++ routine is as follows:
void Rwrite(SEXP fd, SEXP msg) {
int *ofd = INTEGER(fd);
const char * omsg = CHAR(asChar(msg));
printf("[%i] %s",*ofd,omsg);
}
And the corresponding interface in R is as

[LLVMdev] llvm/include/Support/FileSystem.h
This is a proposed patch to enhance FileSystem.h to add functionality (getting and setting permission bits and mapping an unmapping files). This implementation follows the N3365 proposal regarding permission bits.
This functionality is needed for my next patch which will implement llvm/include/Support/FileOutputBuffer.h which is needed by lld.

Actually I was wrong. The Windows and UNIX implementation disagree on
this point. I'm going to change it to match

nv50: shader generation patches
Hi ! I've been trying to improve NV50 shader generation a bit the last couple of weeks, so here is
what I've produced. I don't know if it's usable for you or just a pile of horrible hacks, but at
least it makes some mesa demos render more correcly, p.e. the teapot (aside from mip-mapping issues
of the floor texture), arbfplight, and I think the gears also didn't appear as they
