HP Probook 6570b - Unable to locate configuration file
Hi, We currently use pxelinux and tftp-hpa for pxe booting new machines and installing our OS of choice. This has worked great for the past year, and just about every HP laptop we've tried so far has worked flawlessy, until now...? We recently bought a bunch of HP ProBook 6570b laptops but couldn't get them to work with our pxelinux setup. What we see is that the 6570b stops at the

Centos 7 and Kably lake: black screen
I got a new laptop as my old one died: an HP Probook 470 G4.? I installed Centos 7 1511. The laptop has a Kaby Lake i5 CPU and an? 01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 134e (rev a2).? Fedora recognizes it as a GM108M/930MX. This may give some hints, but it is not that the standard kernel does not support it, this output comes from the 4.8.7 mainline kernel which should support this

virt-sysprep cron-spool, no at jobs
sysprep/sysprep_operation_cron_spool.ml claims to remove at jobs, but those are not stored in /var/spool/cron/ on my system. Is the description wrong, or do other distros store the spool data in the cron dir? For me it looks like this (000110156d537 is currently executed): root at probook:~ # find /var/spool/at* -ls 67540 1 drwx------ 2 at at 1024 Sep 19 18:55

Centos laptop support
Today I found myself in need of a laptop to run Centos on. And that simple statement led to an all-day odyssey. My original plan was to purchase a laptop and install Centos 6 on it. I went to Staples and tried booting it on every model of laptop that they had in the store. They all come with Windows 8 installed, and for the edification of anyone who doesn't know this (I didn't until

Bonding problem in CENTOS4
I use bonding under CENTOS4.5 x32_62. I have these weird messages when I'm restarting network. Do you have any ideas how to fix this? (there is similar bug for centos5 http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2404, but the author says that it worked for him in centos4...) [PATCH supermin 0/9] kernel: Multiple fixes to handling of kernels (RHBZ#1477758).
This patch series fixes several problems in the way that supermin handles kernels. The most pressing problem is that supermin doesn't handle bogus vmlinuz files which aren't actual kernels. Along the way there is a lot of clean up. The patches look much better if you view them with ‘-w’. This series will require plenty of time to be tested in Fedora, especially on non-x86 arches.

Asterisk 11.9.0 PRI no ring indications
Hopefully someone can point me in the correct direction. I had a 1.4x system die on me yesterday, while I was prepping a new machine to replace it. Took the machine on site yesterday and spent the day and part of the evening getting things working. This morning, I finished up converting my dial plan, knowing there'd be calls of things that I missed. While testing, I've noted that all

[rhel-9.2 v2v PATCH 0/2] detect_kernels: deal with RHEL's kernel-core / kernel-modules-core split
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2175703 In RHEL-9.2, the "detect_kernels" function still exists in virt-v2v, not in the common submodule. Because we need to fix RHBZ#2175703 for RHEL-9.2.z as well, port of the identically named libguestfs-common patch series <http://mid.mail-archive.com/20230320115301.43051-1-lersek at redhat.com> to RHEL-9.2 virt-v2v. [libguestfs-common PATCH 0/2] detect_kernels: deal with RHEL's kernel-core / kernel-modules-core split
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2175703 Vera Wu's testing covered a backport of this series to the virt-v2v project's rhel-9.2 branch (on top of commit 86517b17be98), where the "detect_kernels" function is still unique/internal to the virt-v2v project. The backport / cherry-pick from libguestfs-common to virt-v2v cannot be automated, but it's not difficult; only

[v2v PATCH 1/3] linux: remove warning for packages with no files
Metapackages are valid packages with no files, used to easily install something without manually installing bits. Issues with p2v & virt-v2v Windows
It looks to me that the windows 2008 image I am attempting to convert is not being detected as windows but is being updated as a Linux system. When PXE booted the server with the p2v image I ended up with this error: Failed to launch guestfs appliance. Try running again with LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 for more information The system image transferred and I was able to create an XML file to boot it under

[PATCH v2] v2v: linux: fix kernel detection when split in different packages
The current detection code for Linux kernels assumes that a kernel package contains everything in it, i.e. the kernel itself, its modules, and its configuration. However, since recent Ubuntu versions (e.g. starting from 18.04) modules & config (with few more files) are split in an own package, thus not detecting the modpath from installed vmlinuz files. To overcome this situation, rework
