power management and ext3 - mount as ext2?
Hi,
Newbie question here. I've read some about how you can't power down a
disk under ext3 because of the journaling writes. I also know I can
mount my ext3 partitions as ext2.
What about mounting the partitions as ext2 while mobile on batteries?
The hard disk would spin down when it wasn't in use (if noflush, etc.
has been configured). But what about data integrity when

We're grabbing byte counts from around 2000 rules with iptables -nvxL from a
minutely cron job and occasionally the counts come back as zero or a few
packets worth of bytes and then return to

nfs_flush errors
I'm looking for some help with an nfs error that is filling our logs. I
get a constant stream of these messages:
Jul 8 10:47:08 servername dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.error]

Local channel scenario flushes CDR before dialplan end
Hi,
There's a quite complex dialplan scenario and I found out that CDR of
main channel is flushed right after hangup on Local channel. I will try
to simplify my scenario:
[incoming]
exten => 555,1,Noop(do something before using local channel, fill some
variables, play IVR menus and so on)
same => n,Dial(Local/555 at office/n,,g)
same => n,Noop(Notice the option "/n" and

[PATCH] xen: arm32: Use system wide TLB flushes, not just inner-shareable
We currently setup page table walks etc as outer-shareable. Given we don''t
really make the distinction between inner- and outer-shareable yet err on
theside of safety.

[PATCH 2/3] jbd2: Remove barrier feature conditional flag (or: always issue flushes)
As part of migrating the FLUSH/FUA knob to the block layer, remove the journal
flags and various conditionals in jbd2 that surround flush issue calls in favor
of always issuing the flush. The block layer will handle gracefully the
situation where a FLUSH or FUA request is issued to a device that doesn't
support it.
