Plotting log-axis with the exponential base to a plot with the default logarithm base 10
Hello! I have a problem which I have tried to solve for several days now.. I have plottet a lineplot.CI in the library "sciplot", and I am trying to plot it with a logaritmic y-axis (with exponential base). The problem is that; when I type "log "y"", the axis transforms into the logaritmic of base 10. I wonder if someeone could tell me how to specify that I would

plotting two histograms on one plot with hist function
I would like to plot two data sets (frequency (y-axis) of mean values for 0-1(x=axis)) on a single histogram for comparison. The hist() only allow the overlay of two histograms, and although barplot() allows beside=TRUE, it does not show frequency values (like hist) but rather all of the values. Is there any way that I can use the hist() to plot two data sets similar to the barplot(). Any help or

[Fwd: Re: Plotting log-axis with the exponential base to a plot with the default logarithm base 10]
Hello! Thank you for answering! What I am trying to do is to plot my raw values (biomass of different species) on a logaritmic y-axis with the base of e. When I type "log="y"", the axis transforms into a logaritmic axis with the base of 10. Really Silly Question From Total Newbie
Hello All - I've been poking around the past few weeks, trying to familiarize myself with all of this. I am new to Linux, VoIP and Asterisk -- to be complete. This is my first exposure to all of these technologies. I installed AsteriskNow on my old dual Pentium 833mhz Dell PowerEdge 2400 and the install went well. I can log in and poke around in Linux and I even configured the box to be

pgadmin3
Anyone been able to get pgadmin3 installed on CentOS-4 ? The WxGTK2 stuff makes it impossible for me to get installed from RPM/SRPM from their site and likewise, couldn't rebuild from Fedora SRPMS either. I figure between Jim and Owen and ???, somebody might have succeeded where I would be doomed. I can get around with phppgadmin but pgadmin3 is pretty cool. Thanks Craig

Secure apt
I am trying to add Michael Rutter's ppa to my repository.? I cannot do this from the command line.? I think I may be behind a firewall so copying the key to a text file is my best option.? When I search for the key at http://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371/ the search fails. Tried typing and cutting and pasting E084DAB9 into the search box without success. How can I get the key?

Using ssh for samba authentication?
I use ssh port forwarding to connect to a samba server from Windows 2000/ XP clients. But there is an annoying part that I have to enter my password for samba shares after I already authenticated with the server using ssh. Is there any way to setup samba so in the case of ssh connections it would use already authenticated user name and would not ask for any password for shares? Regards, Igor

manipulating facter variable
I''m trying to manipulate the following facter variable: ipaddress => 10.85.207.2 What I need is the second group of digits. If it''s 84 then location is A, but if it''s 85 then location is B. In puppet I couldn''t grab this second set of digits, but maybe there is a way? I''ve already tried to make a custom fact, but my ruby knowledge is *ahem* pretty

Samba/Winbind issue
Hi, I have an issue with Samba using winbind. We have Active Directory groups with underscores (for example sambagroup_underscore). But an underscore in Samba (Unix) is a space in Active Directory. So my question is what character is used in Samba (Unix) for an underscore in Active Directory? Or are there other solutions to solve this? I would be very happy if you can help me! Met

Add wrapper to Shiny in R package
Dear List, I'm trying to add a function that calls a Shiny App in my R package. The issue is that within my function, I'm creating objects that I'd like to pass to the app. For instance, from the example below, I'm getting "Error: object 'xs' not found". How can I pass "xs" explicitly to shinyApp()? *Under R directory:* myApp <- function(x, ...) {

puppet won't change user's password
Hi! I''m trying to set password for a user. I do the following: user { "username": password => ''*'', } And when I run puppet agent nothing happens. The password remains the same. But if I create a new user which doesn''t exist yet, the password is set without any problems. Is this a normal behaviour of ''user'' type? --
