[nbdkit PATCH v2 3/6] protocol: Support ESHUTDOWN error
The NBD specification was clarified to state that the server can send ESHUTDOWN at any time that it wants to inform the client that the server is about to close the connection and that all further commands will fail, to give the client a chance to first send NBD_CMD_DISC for a clean shutdown. While nbdkit does not (yet) directly send this errno, it is feasible that a plugin may want this error

Samba 3.0.4 Performance Problem (tcp win 1)
Howdy. I have observed a horrific performance problem in my setup. I'm running samba on a Linux Fedora Core 1 machine with Windows clients. The samba server is communicating with a Windows 98 machine. $ /usr/sbin/smbd -V Version 3.0.4-1.FC1 The configuration of my server is mostly default with the exception of print, passwords, and share configurations. My Linux interface is seeing about

Bug#588477: network-bridge: start: 95 sec sleep/bridge without a default gateway
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch do_ifup() in network-bridge exits badly, if the interface doesn't have a default gateway. Since it's wrapped in xen's locking script it causes it to be retied 100 times and sleep for 95 seconds before it continues. In my setup this amounts to: 16 vlans without a default gateway * 95 secs / bridge = 25 minutes

conntrack event/hook when ''expected'' connection terminates ?
Hello, I need to understand how conntrack_core.c handles the termination of ''expected'' connection; handling in the case when ''expected'' connection arrived, then terminates (In my conntrack module, I need to specially handle the event of termination termination of ''expected'' connection.) In ip_conntrack_core.c, I can''t find the

openvpn restart fails with dual entry in conntrack and wrong sourceport
the establishment of an openvpn link sometimes fails. I tracked it down to network traffic with wrong Sourceport in the answer packet (should be 1300 not 1024): 2 1.119309000 aaa.185.165 bbb.162.192 UDP 58 Source port: 1300 Destination port: 1300 3 1.119446000 bbb.162.192 aaa.185.165 UDP 66 Source port: 1024 Destination port: 1300 and a collateral entry in the connection tracking table

<VM LIVE Migration> <Sync conntrack entries>
Hi Team, I am using QEMU/KVM for launching VMs and libvirt to govern those VMs. I would like to synchronise the connection tracking entries specific to the VM during the VM LIVE migrations. It is required when the firewall is implemented at the host level like libvirt's "network filters". If stateful firewall is enabled, then unless these connection tracking entries are

conntrack entries established before nat
Typically (or at least somewhat occasionally) after a reboot of my shorewall[-lite] machine I find that I end up with conntrack table entries for unNATted connections such as: # conntrack -L -p udp --dport 5060 -d 99.232.11.14 udp 17 59 src=10.75.22.8 dst=99.232.11.14 sport=5060 dport=5060 packets=5472 bytes=3031488 [UNREPLIED] src=99.232.11.14 dst=10.75.22.8 sport=5060 dport=5060 packets=0

Windows 10 spawning thousands of child processes on Samba 4.3.11 server
I am thankful for all support received so far and I feel I'm getting closer to a solution. To get back to basics and a more transparent setup I have made a clean Ubuntu 16.04 installation and followed this guide https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Standalone_Server Windows clients users are logged in with username Admin (local account, administrator). The samba share is
