ICMPv6 messages of type RS
Hallo,
as described by CISCO in
http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac123/ac147/archived_issues/ipj_7-2/ipv6_autoconfig.html
a router hast to send ICMPv6 messages of type RS to the all-router multicast group: ff02::1 and ff02::2 for stateless autoconfiguration.
How can I activate this sending in CentOS?
Best regards
Helmut

[Bridge] [PATCH net-next 15/16] selftests: forwarding: lib: Add helpers to build IGMP/MLD leave packets
The testsuite that checks for mcast_max_groups functionality will need to
wipe the added groups as well. Add helpers to build an IGMP or MLD packets
announcing that host is leaving a given group.

dovecot-metadata-8 released
Hello everyone!
I just released dovecot-metadata-8, which is an implementation of RFC 5464
(IMAP METADATA), allowing to add comments/annotations/metadata to folders of
an email account.
The major feature is that it works with Akonadi, or more specifically the
Kolab backend thereof, while being dovecot-2.0 compatible.
The module consists of 3 plugins, two IMAP frontends and one backend:

Hello!
When I fetch certain emails from my Dovecot 2.2.16 server using Trojita 0.5,

[Bridge] [PATCH net-next 14/16] selftests: forwarding: lib: Allow list of IPs for IGMPv3/MLDv2
The testsuite that checks for mcast_max_groups functionality will need
to generate IGMP and MLD packets with configurable number of (S,G)
addresses. To that end, further extend igmpv3_is_in_get() and
mldv2_is_in_get() to allow a list of IP addresses instead of one
address.

network configuration for guest specific dns-servers
Hello,
similar to how one can configure guest specific IP addresses via mac
addresses:
<ip address="192.168.122.1" netmask="255.255.255.0" localPtr="yes">
<dhcp>
<range start="192.168.122.100" end="192.168.122.254"/>
<host mac="00:16:3e:77:e2:ed" name="foo.example.com"

Folders with ~ (tilde) slow to save
running Version 3.6.23-14.el6_6
I'm having slow save times with folders names ~something.. ie.
/www/~bin/content.txt.
doing this via a windows share.. when I save file it has a moment
(few seconds) of hesitation.. then saves. When I do
/www/bin/content.txt. the file saves instantly.
Is there anywhere I can change a setting to fix this? or is this a
bug. I've looked in the logs

Is it possible to block ipv6 auto configuration entering the tinc tunnel?
Hi
Im using tinc to bridge networks together. And im using ebtables to block dhcp traffic for ipv4 on each node in tinc. One of my nodes have recently began using ipv6. The isp is using auto configuration to give out ipv6 addresses. The problem is that every computer in my bridged network is getting ipv6 addresses from that node.
The other computers behind the other nodes have no use for ipv6

Hi
thank you for looking in to this. I haven't tried it before now. I cant get it to work.
after running the commands you suggest I get this when I run ip6tables --list-rules
