similar to: winsock2

I notice that there are some proxy dll inside system32 eg. comctl32.dll, What is the correct procedure to override it? Is that OK that just to copy my native comctl32.dll to overwrite that dll and then run winecfg to set the override tab? And if that proxy dll was overwritten, how to restore to use built-in version? regards,

I want to know will builtin dll always call other builtin dll or it depends on winecfg setting just like other dll? Is it reliable that these dll mixed togther? For example, the builtin gdiplus depend on and call ole dll, does the builtin gdiplus designed to work with both builtin and native ole dll? Okay, I've updated virtio serial drivers to latest ones. This did not help. Afterwards I've enabled "Show hidden devices" in Device manager of a guest os.In the "Other devices" section I can see two virtio serial ports with question marks (i did configure guest with 2 virtio channels). I'm using Ubuntu Hardy Heron with a newly installed Wine 1.0.0. When I go into the Audio tab in winecfg and "test sound", it always comes up with a message saying "Audio test failed!" Hi Is there a way to attach Usb thumbdrive serial number to mounted drive? I see that there is something in the Winecfg. but it does not seem to either save the serial when I put it. I'd want to run the windows editor for my guitar preamp (VOX Tonelab SE) which is connected to the MIDI in and out sockets of my soundcard. The program installs and starts without any problems under wine but it can't find any MIDI ports. MIDI works fine otherwise in Linux - I can read from and write to the sockets with arecordmidi and aplaymidi, but there are no MIDI devices visible
