eMule or other p2p on wine?
I have been running WinMX for a while on Wine, and while it has a few
quirks, it works (for the most part) quite well. eMule, OTOH, flat refuses
to start and throws an unhandled exception: page fault...
Has anyone here had any luck running other P2P programs via wine?

Resources and pretty URLS
Using the brand-spanking new map.resources for REST goodness, is there a
way to pass in additional parameters, or do I have to go back to
standard routes. For example, is there a way to use the map.resources

Wine 1.1.7: emule 0.48a: excessive memory usage
emule 0.48a on a from-source-compiled-without-compiler-optimizations Wine 1.1.7 uses excessive (infinite) amounts of memory with an estimated consumption rate of 1MB/minute until the system runs out of memory, I have yet to test other versions of either wine or emule, but I suspect this:
wine or emule versions do not matter, there will always be a memory leak, and it is obvious that it is not a

Re: Emule Crash every day
I?m using Ubuntu 10.04 & wine 1.2rc2,and my emule crashes every time.
I prefer using VeryCD emule because I?m living in China.
There?s poor network condition here.
i found that if i run Xtreme8.0 beta and VC emule at the same time,it will be more stable.
here?s my command line output:

New L7-Filter patterns for Kademlia / eMule?
I had been using L7-Filter[1] successfully for edonkey/eMule traffic until
recently. I upgraded to the latest release of mldonkey, 2.5.28a, which
implements eMule compatibility, and with support for Kademlia[2] enabled,
network latency increases greatly.

eMule fills up all the memory and crash
Emule version: 0.49b
OS: Debian Lenny
Pc: Pentium III 800 Mhz 512 MB RAM, 2 GB swap
Wine version: 1.1.13
When i launch it, the memory usage is around 80 MB, few hours later it is about
300 MB and after 2 day 1.8 GB when my upload is at 20 KB/s. Emule then ends up
eating all the memory (2GB swap included). eMule runs with a WebServer activated and with no native dll, only Wine's dll.

Simple Question
Brand spanking new to Dovecot. Trying to move over to it, got a few
simple questions.
1) Is there any documentation on the .customflags file? Not sure what
this is for...
2) I'd like to make a directory for every user NOT be writable. Meaning
the email server (Exim) can put the mail down in the directory but a
user can no move an email into it through Imap.
I couldn't find a search

render :partial + redirect_to :controller
This is of course disallowed, which I discovered only after nearly
completing my spanking new ajaxified UI. What is the motivation behind
this, and what is the best workaround?
This UI does a scriptaculous drag-and-drop of items from a first div
(div1) over to a second div (div2), which triggers the contents of div2
to be updated to reflect the drop. No prob, thus far. But then the

AudioCodes MP-104 MGCP?
Greetings;
We are trying to get Asterisk up and happy at our site-we tried VOIP
using Sphere about a year ago, spent a *boodle* on expensive hardware
and services from a local "expert", but it never was happy.
I'm brand-spanking new at VOIP, and I've learned a *ton* getting
Asterisk breathing in the last couple of days. I have three Polycom

Hi to everybody, I write because I have just configure a shorewall
to be used as firewall, proxy(with squid) and gateway to 2 internet
connections, and it looks to work properly but now I''d like to add a new
feature: I would to redirect some specific traffic (emule''s one) only to
one of those links.

Performance (cough cough) Poor: Instant Rails
Hi,
In short, RoR is brand spanking new to me, I set up Instant Rails (if
you can call copying files "setup") and made my own simple app via
scaffold. One table, 11 cols, 100 rows. All is well, except when I view
the data, it takes 5-10 seconds to show the page, 5-10 more seconds to
get the edit page and so on. Going back to the previous page is no
faster (via previous link).

Can't get a HighID with eMule 0.50a on wine 1.2 and Ubuntu
Hi all! I have to ask you people for some help about eMule 0.50a running with wine 1.2 on Ubuntu 10.04LTS Lucid Lynx 64bit.
I installed wine 1.2 beta from the official lucid repos (which btw has become final), and eMule 0.50a. I used to do so in the past, but now i can't realize why i can't get a HighID, which is needed to get optimal performance while sharing.
I configured eMule as usual
