Thank you for pointing the direction. Indeed, ver. 6.03 works correctly.
BTW, this project gets very complicated. I spent a lot of time guessing
which files I would need. I hoped that reading Makefile would help me but I it
did not. Maybe you could add a target for copying final results to a
destination.
(Target 'installer' do sth else ... /slackware 14.1/)
Best regards

xen-unstable fails to boot on a system with Ivy Bridge stepping C0 cpu
Hi,
I need a help with tracking down following issue:
When trying to boot Xen on a system with Ivy Bridge stepping C0 CPU, it is stuck on CPU initialization.
I''ve added some tracing to apic writes/reads and traced it so far to sending INIT IPI.
(XEN) HVM: VMX enabled
(XEN) HVM: Hardware Assisted Paging detected.
(XEN) Setting warm reset code and vector.

extlinux >= 5.01 menu.c32 timeout doesn't work
Hi,
I am using qemu for testing new versions of syslinux before installing on an embedded computer.
Everything works fine under qemu (1.5.0), so I updated extlinux from 4.06 to 5.11-pre3 on the computer.
I found that the autostart's timeout does not work.
The timeout value is correct but nothing happens.
It worked well with extlinux 4.06...
I tried with extlinux 5.01, 5.10, 5.11-pre3 and

Booting second label
Hi
I'm using syslinux 5.01 and is installing our bootloader using "extlinux --install /boot". In the extlinux.conf I've specified that the kontron_wdt.c32 program should boot another label once it has been executed but it never calls the second label.
Here's my extlinux.conf:
default wdt
timeout 5
prompt 1
label linuxfoo
kernel /vmlinuz
append root=/dev/sda2 #.... more

Display borked when loading FONT
Hello,
I am a happy user of syslinux since 3.x. I've been able to load a font
to display French accented charecters since then, but it not the case
anymore, as problems have started to raise with syslinux 5.x.
program : EXTLINUX, ISOLINUX (same behaviour)
In extlinux.conf, the culprit is :
FONT=lat9w16
This font is taken from 'kbd' package, named lat9w-16.psfu. It contains

There are several options. You can compile from source on any system
[1] or you can pick from a large number of distributions. [2]
Some popular choices are Debian [3], Centos 5

Confusing error message when pointing the linux installer at a missing directory.
Last night, I was trying to install syslinux (5.01) to a SD card of
mine, writing to a subdirectory to keep the layout neat:
syslinux-5.01/linux# ./syslinux -i -d /boot /dev/mmcblk0p1
/dev/mmcblk0p1: No such file or directory
The message is coming from do_open_file() in syslinux.c: the call to
open() fails because the containing directory isn't present, and then it
calls perror(opt.device).

then installed Fedora 21 on a separate /

Syslinux 5.01 released
Hi folks,
Syslinux 5.01 is out, a week later than predicted but that's largely
down to the realloc() bug described below. This release is mainly a
collection of bug fixes for problems reported after people tested
Syslinux 5.00. The NEWS entries are included at the bottom.
There was a pretty nasty realloc() bug that took some time to find and
fix, which resulted in memory corruption. There

SYSLINUX stuck on boot about 0.1% of the time
Hi,
We recently switched from grub-legacy to EXTLINUX on our embedded
devices. While it works great usually, about one of every thousand
boots, it gets stuck. [1] A simple reboot fixes it straight away, but
that's not really acceptable for our customers, especially since there
is usually no monitor connected and they can't actually diagnose the
error, so they simply mark the device as
