Very slow download with pxelinux > 4.07 on specific hardware
Yes on optiplex 790 i upgraded from A07 to A18 (there was a nic upgrade) but it didn't change anything.. On optiplex 380 i upgraded from bios A01 to A07(don't know if upgrade contained pxe or not)... I tried, lpxelinux.0 and it wasn't faster. Only v4.07 helped on these machines. Tomorrow, i will give a try with 6.03pre2. In wireshark, i saw no errors, the packet length was the

I did some additional tests : On a dell optiplex 380, i disabled internal nic, added a 3com 905c tx external pci nic : very slow too. On a dell 740(which is always fast), i put the 3com to be sure : very fast. So it seems it is not related to the nic itself. To be sure it wasn't just one failing computer i tested several 380. I tried disabling several features in bios, like Execute

Hi, We only have Dell computers here. We have about 100 optiplex 380. Here is a link to download my wireshark traces : http://dl.free.fr/qgCPEM5Uo In this traces i tested pxelinux and lpxelinux 6.03 on optiplex 740(the one working) and optiplex 380. pxelinux works on both computers but very slowly on 380 as seen in traces. lpxelinux works only on 740. On 380 it seems to enter in a kind of

Notice the same thing happens with optiplex 790 (core i5 sandy bridge). With 790 too everything is ok with pxelinx 4.0.7. I'll post a wireshark later. Le 25/02/2014 17:06, H. Dell and pxelinux keyboard problems
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I am having trouble with one Dell system and pxelinux: The keyboard does not properly work. The computer boots, I press F12 to select the boot device, then I select the network card. Up to that point the keyboard works fine. Then pxelinux is booted, and I use menu.c32 to display a menu (or vesamenu.c32 - same result). Now the keyboard does not

PXELINUX 4.10-pre17 and newer Dell OptiPlex/Latitude/Precision
Shantanu, let's continue here. You first noticed this on a Dell OptiPlex 755. I think it covers all Dell OptiPlex/Latitude/Precision models that are PCIe based with Intel LoM (LAN on motherboard) utilizing the BIOS PXE OROM, based on the similarity of these systems. The symptoms are that PXELINUX requests pxelinux.cfg/<UUID> by TFTP (but it might not strictly be a TFTP issue) when not

bind failed on port 445 socket_addr = 0.0.0.0.
Hi, I've just upgraded an old samba 3.0.23 on an old Fedora Core 5 to samba 3.5.4 using an rpm built from the source. Everything works fine, but when i start the server i get some error messages(see below). Before i start the server there is no connection (tested with lsof and fuser) on the 139 and 445 ports, smbd or nmbd aren't running. With the old version i never had this

[PATCH][git-pull] memdisk/dskprobe.c
git://git.zytor.com/users/genec/syslinux.git Branch memdiskdbg-for-sha0 This starts with adding another check in two of the disk probes (by Shao; Thank you), expands the debug output, adds an additional check in the third probe and expands/reorders the debug output. At this time, it appears to resolve the MEMDISK issues that Jason Vasquez first noticed. The additional check in the third probe

Centos 6: Dell GX270 fails to power down (but reboots)
Hi, am using latest C6 on a Dell GX270 with latest Bios. It fails to power down but restarts when running $ sudo poweroff I tried some google hints for kernel boot option: acpi=force no help, looks like acpi is working anyway when looking in dmesg acpi=off makes e1000 nic fail to initialize Any suggestions? Allocaation resource error (DELL Optiplex 755)...
Hi all, (My first time in seeking assistance via the CentOS mailing list ... Not sure if I should be submitting this as a possible kernel bug). I've successfully installed Cent OS 5.1 (kernel: 2.6.18-53.1.13.el5) on an Optiplex 755 (EM64T). However I'm not able to get a NVIDIA Gigabyte 8600GT (PCI-e) card to work with the system despite successfully installing the latest NVIDIA drivers
