Failed to issue the StartTLS instruction: Connect error
Hi, I have two LDAP Servers with similar configurations. The main difference is that one runs Linux Fedora 1 and the other Linux Fedora 2. The Fedora 2 server runs correctly whilst the Fedora 1 LdAP doesn't with the error: Failed to issue the StartTLS instruction: Connect error. Following is an example of error message on Fedora 1. [LLVMdev] Visual C++ 2008 Build from trunk
I'm trying to build the sources from the svn trunk using VC2008, and I'm running into some problems. First, I have no idea what the configure project is for, and it fails with a manifest related error (the project lacks any .c* files anyway). This causes an avalanche of problems, initiated by TableGen not being able to build. Has anyone been successful in getting the LLVM libs to build

Can glmnet handle models with numeric and categorical data?
Dear All, Can the x matrix in the glmnet() function of glmnet package be a data.frame with numeric columns and factor columns? I am asking this because I have a model with both numeric and categorical predictors, which I would like to study with glmnet. I have already tried to use a data.frame, but with no success -- as far as I know, the matrix object can only have data of a single type. Is

SYSLINUX PXE LOCALBOOT Bitlockers
Any deviation from the expected boot process will prevent BitLocker from accessing the volume key in the TPM. One reason this behavior exists is to prevent malicious code from being loaded (such as via booting first to CD / USB / PXE, loading malware, and then continuing to boot to Windows). So what's happening here is the deviation from firmware -> PXE -> HDD is detected and the volume

Signify level of significance
Im doing test on my sample using 1-sample Kolmogorov-smirnov test(poisson distribution) to specify my sample obtain avalanche effect. before i can compare my D value with the critical value(Dn, alpha), i have to specify which level of significance to use (eg. alpha = 0.01, 0.05, etc) and i don't understand, why is it related to the probability that the hypothesis will be rejected when it is in

[LLVMdev] LLVM2.2 x64 JIT trouble on VStudio build

Well, anyway stubs are definitely wrong from windows64 and this should be fixed, otherwise funny stuff can happen from time to

I failed to get my point across. You're still talking about the difficulty of using LLVM's GC support. I was talking about circumventing it. The shadow stack HLVM uses

Rails Web Services
This deals with the Rails book, but ActionWebService in general. I''m having trouble getting the Rails book''s example in the Web Service chapter working. Everything else works (all the ''depot'' site features up to that point have been built and work). I don''t think it''s an issue with the book code being wrong, because the ActionWebService API

Execution speed in randomForest
I am using the randomForest package. I have found that multiple runs of precisely the same command can generate drastically different run times. Can anyone with knowledge of this package provide some insight as to why this would happen and whether there's anything I can do about it? Here are some details of what I'm doing: - Data: ~80,000 rows, with 10 columns (one of which is the

Would you then agree with me that "LLVM's garbage collection facilities, _as described in the LLVM documentation_, are too difficult to use"? R CMD check file issues
This problem is likely to be specific to Windows, and particularly Win7. After a successful build of a package (R CMD build addendum), I immediately run an R CMD check for the same package. Not always, but _very_ often, I get the following error: C:\Users\nisabbe\Documents\@Doctoraat\R>R CMD check addendum Loading required package: tcltk Loading Tcl/Tk interface ... done Loading

SYSLINUX PXE LOCALBOOT Bitlockers
That's a great question, actually, I should have remembered to mention that! You can control what factors are used for the TPM's integrity check to release the bitlocker key on boot. Depending on whether your on a BIOS or EFI machine, there are slight differences, but definitely controllable by group policy. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee706521(v=ws.10).aspx#BKMK_depopt3 I
