[PATCH 0/3] elflink fixes
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at intel.com>
The first two patches in this series are fixes for bugs reported by
someone in #syslinux. The third makes dmitest.c32 actually wait for
user input.
If no one has any objections/concerns, I'll pull this into the
official elflink branch.

[PATCH 00/20] Switch to ELF modules
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at linux.intel.com>
This series fixes some bugs and switches the elflink branch to be
entirely ELF modules. It applies on top of,
http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2011-April/016369.html
The deletions in the diff stat below are mainly from deleting
com32/elflink/modules (finally!). Now there should be no duplicate
code because we don't need COM32 and

pull request: upgrade to Lua 5.2.3, automatic Linux boot menu and cmenu binding
Hi,
Yes, I'm back with this pet peeve of mine again. Most of the old cover
letter at https://gist.github.com/wferi/6989458 still applies; I'd like
to reiterate its last paragraph here, too:

that does work, yes. It just looked like a file object should have a some way
to get the contents. I'm actually not using it in our scripts.

lua not working on syslinux-6.03-pre18
I've upgraded from syslinux-4.05 to syslinux-6.03-pre18 (pre11 was the same)
and am having some issues getting lua.c32 to work. I'm using lpxelinux.0
if that's relevant.
My boot file and the contents of default.lua are below. As you can see they
are fantastically simple. Essentially I'm just using lua to put the results
of ipappend in the right place on the command line.

syslinux ansi <-> vesa color mapping
I have noticed anything using ANSI escape sequences to color text does not work
if syslinux is in VESA mode. It only works if the \1#, \2#, or \3# are used.
This means that libmenu which relies on csprint fails to render colors in
VESA mode. I noticed the default color table has a complete table generated at
runtime for all VGA color combinations, which csprint also does but from VGA
attributes on

[PATCH 0/6] Makefile cleanups
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at linux.intel.com>
This series includes a patch (PATCH 1/6) that I sent previously but I
thought it was worth sending it again since the rest of the series
depends on it, and it also gives a bit of context.
These cleanups make it simpler to do the big switchover to ELF modules
on the elflink branch because the libraries in $LIBS are now contained
in one

Upgrading embedded Lua to 5.2?
Hi,
Is there any reason not to upgrade the Syslinux embedded Lua to the
current stable version, 5.2? If not, does anybody feel like doing this,
or shall I give it a try?

Possible to persist data across reboots from Lua?
I'd like to be able to save a boolean value across reboots. I believe
that being able to store to the auxiliary data vector would satisfy
this need, but I'm using syslinux and that doesn't seem to be
implemented. While I'm currently using a Lua script, I'm not tied to
it, so if there's a way to read and write any persistent filesystem or
disk, I'd be happy to switch.

pxelinux 6.03 lua module not loading syslinux.c32 dmi.c32 etc
I'm running pxelinux configured to use the path /bios on the tftp server for all the comboot files.
The problem is dmi, syslinux, vesa etc modules are not being loaded in lua.
Syslinux.version() returns not found in global index as does dmi.supported()
For k,v in pairs(package.loaded) do print (k,v) end; shows that these modules that are normally loaded by lua are not loading.
I got an idea
