bug in syslinux 6.01 with gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Hello,
I didn't try 6.02-pre15, I will do and I will post the results,
my keyboard is a PS/2 model, the "legacy USB storage option" is enabled,
I tried also an USB keyboard but there is no change, so it's not a
keyboard problem, it probably something in syslinux ( ldlinux.sys ? )
who create a serious bug with my motherboard,
I tried also with a USB HDD ( not a flash drive )

bug in syslinux 6.01 with gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Hello,
I notice a bug in syslinux 6.01 ( bios version ) when I install it in a
USB flash drive ( FAT32 partition ) and when I want to boot this USB
flash drive with a gigabyte motherboard ( GA-P31-DS3L ),
I setup my usb flash drive ( 4 Gb ) like this in windows XP :
syslinux.exe -m -a -i -d /boot/syslinux H:
then I create a syslinux.cfg menu and I add these files : chain.c32
libcom32.c32

After USB boot problems on Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G

The CHS values which i reported were read directly
from the partition table by a hex editor.
(fdisk's CHS complaints match my reading.)

Hi, I recently changed my motherboard to Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ and I can't get onboard AC97 sound to work. I added 'device pcm' to my kernel config file and sndstat returns FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices:", nothing ;( Any hints ? I'm running FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE

SATA on Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 MB
Hi Gang!
I've got this (now old) Gigabyte motherboard (GA-7N400 Pro2), I've had it
for just over 3 years.
I use it, so far, with only PATA devices.
I'm toying with the idea of buying a matched pair of SATA drives and when
I install Centos 5 (hopefully soon), building it with software raid (using
the two drives as mirrors of each other).
Now, I wouldn't have ever even thought of

So isohybrid boots with and without additional GPT.
It boots with partition start 0 and with partition start at 32 kB.
Everything points to FAT or the individual USB stick.
Can you confirm that the same USB stick works with isohybrid
and fails with the hard-disk-style setups ?

Any failure on the same stick which also succeeds is enough
to kill the theory of bad relation between USB stick and
mainboard.
You have proven this by the success and failure with the 2 GB
stick.
So the problem must be either in partitioning

Looks like it is unable to adress some files.
Maybe a problem with partitioning ?
Does this happen with isohybrid ISO images too ?
E.g.:
http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/7.3.0/i386/iso-cd/debian-7.3.0-i386-netinst.iso
It looks like Clonezilla and Ultimate Boot CD both prescribe

First, let me clarify that all the scripts and procedures in the
Clonezilla site are not related to this official Syslinux mailing
list or to The Syslinux Project. They are done by the Clonezilla
team.
Now that I know you are working

If this theory is right then it would suffice to set bit 7
of byte 446 of the USB stick to 0 (first byte
