Mine doesn't appear to work? It might be just me. Would someone confirm if this is a bug?

why i saw notepad.exe.so and notepad.exe.fake in programs/notepad. i thought wine dedeveloped a new version of notepad. I seemed wrong.

I'm trying to print from the Windows NT flavor of notepad, but when I select File->Print, I get the following pop-up error: Cannot access your printer. Be sure that your printer is connected properly and use Control Panel to verify that the printer is configured properly. I'm able to print from Lotus Notes. Any ideas? Thanks! --

Hi, Someone mind verfiying this simple test? Using wine-20041019 run wine notepad Notepad comes up. Choose 'Page Setup'. Dialog box comes up. Choose OK. Dialog box does not go away. Choose cancel. This may be a stupid question, but does anybody know why the Wine version of notepad won't run on Windows? I get the error that it is not a valid Win32 application when I try to run it. Shouldn't it be able to run in Windows or Wine seamlessly? The Microsoft version of notepad runs in both, so what's special (or not) about Wine notepad? John

Since my upgrade from Debian 7 to 8 (Jessie), and upgrade from Samba 3 to Samba 4, I have a new problem. My earlier message was not as clear as it could have been. I already have Emacs for my NT system, but prefer not to use it or vi. It is really a case of not needing a sledgehammer to swat a gnat. The advantage of EditPadPro (for me anyway) is that it has a footprint of 1MB including helpfiles, whereas the versions of Emacs I've seen for NT require about 30MB of disk space to store.

Can you post ls -l of a file on your samba shared directory.(before opening it with notepad++) Also open in the windows file browser and right click on said file and click on properties and take a window shot alt+prtscrn (before opening it with notepad++) save the image in paint and label it before. Hello, finale notepad 2008 is a free (as in beer) score writer program which is fairly user-friendly. It can save scores in its own format and as a midi file. The problem is that the file dialog doesn't show any of the file types, it's all blank.
