Is there a possible workaround? How can I help to solve this issue? With those
crashes, my computer is getting unusable (losing my work all the time...)
Thanks for your help

I've patched kernel 3.19 and had no crash the whole day, yesterday. Thanks.
Will it be integrated to kernel 3.20? Or backported to 3.19?

--- Comment #7 from Keivan <keivan at gmail.com> ---
I have the same problem since I updated to 3.18.7-200.fc21.x86_64. It happens
frequently and I am only writing code on this computer so basically I have
rewritten everything for the past two days. Can someone help me to apply this
patch?
Thanks

(Moved to the correct product and component)
Could you please get a full dmesg output (by using netconsole if you have a
second computer, or by blacklisting Nouveau, cating dmesg or /dev/kmsg to a
file and then loading Nouveau manually)? Maybe your attachments are enough for

[PATCH REBASED 2/2] Do not register interface if Apple GMUX detected
From: Pierre Moreau <pierre.morrow at free.fr>
The Apple GMUX is the one managing the backlight, so there is no need for
Nouveau to register its own backlight interface.
v2: Do not split information message on two lines as it prevents from grepping
it, as pointed out by Lukas Wunner
