[PATCH] drm/nouveau: POST the card before GPIO initialization
Otherwise my card (nv92) never resumes from suspend to ram, hanging on
nv_mask in nv50_gpio_drive. Before rework, initialization was done only
from POST, so this patch restores previous behaviour.

GT 730 freeze : how do diagnose / debug ?
Hi,
I own an Asus GT730-SL-2GD3-BRK, trying to drive two monitors at 2560x1440
resolution. Using gnome-shell with either Xorg or wayland I get screen
freezes very frequently. Those freezes usually require a reboot to get
working graphics (below a sample trace that I got yesterday).
I am running Ubuntu 17.04 with the latest kernels avalable, I also tested
various more recent kernels including

X freezes with nouveau/G70
Greetings,
Ever since the nouveau driver arrived in the Fedora distribution, I have not been able to use (or boot) my system without booting in run level 3 and loading nVidia's proprietary drivers first. With the shipped drivers in Fedora 10 and 11, regardless of how I start X, I get the animated cursor first, then random data spews across the screen and I lose the keyboard (but mouse still

linux v4.4.0 nouveau fails
Please keep me in the CC. I am not subscribed to this list.
When booting 4.4.0 on one of my systems, when nouveau loads, the screen goes
into powersave. It doesn't appear to register the fb0 device.
When X starts up, the screen comes back and I'm able to login. When
launching anything that accesses 3D, the screen freezes. Nothing is logged
in either X or dmesg.
This same system works
