[PATCH] [RFC] drm/nouveau: bring back hdmi audio device after switcheroo power down
After a full device powerdown via the optimus power switch, we seem to lose the HDMI device completely on power on, this keep track of whether we had a hdmi audio sub function device at power on, and pokes a magic register to make it reappear after the optimus power switch is thrown. This at least works on my NVC4 machine, probably needs testing on a few other laptops with other nvidia GPUs.

[Authlogic]
After I upgraded my Authlogic to 2.1.2 I''m facing an odd error when trying to use my webpage; it comes up with an error ''undefined method `^'' for "e":String''. I''ve double checked the lines in the Authlogic code (see codepad urls for the tracelog), but I can find no trace of any "^" in the code anywhere. The methods that result in

Is it necessary to parse the VBIOS init table when executable is false?
Hello everyone, The code is at /core/subdev/bios/init.c. When the executable is 0,these functions that parse the VBIOS init table seems to do nothing except the parsing. And in my opinion,init_exec_force does nothing, too! Then I tried to test it on my computer, when the VBIOS parser tries to change a MMIO register or call a function of struct nouveau_devinit (such as devinit->pll_set,etc.),it

[Rspec] Using Mocha results in uninitialized constant, using a 'fix' breaks RSpec output
After installation of Mocha (0.9.7), running "script/spec spec" results in a "`const_missing'': uninitialized constant Test::Unit::TestResult::TestResultFailureSupport (NameError)" error. (As shown here; http://codepad.org/mTqztjwt ) I''m running Ruby 1.8.6 with Rails 2.3.4 on Windows, rspec (-rails) 1.2.8 (1.2.7.1), Test::Unit 2.0.3 As suggested roughly on

virt-install error: "virDomainLookupByName() failed got unknown HTTP error code 400"
Hi there, I've been happily installing VMs in CentOS 5.2's Xen implementation using virt-manager. However, my latest attempt to use the install wizard in virt-manager failed when I got to the networking screen. The 'forward' button was unresponsive, and I was unable to proceed. I checked the virt-manager logs, and saw this appearing immediately after I tried to proceed:

multiple cards and monitors with xrandr and opengl
Hi, Thanks for your advice..! I have a few follow-up questions (tagged below Q1, Q2 and Q3). Any help highly/extremely appreciated. Regarding to "reverse prime", etc. I have read the following page: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Optimus/ So, if we want a single "macro" xscreen that spans two cards, for example: Card 0, connected to monitor 0 Card 1, connected to

[PATCH] drm: compute runpm on load, don't register autosuspend for non-runpm
There was a proliferation of duplicated checks for runpm == -1 && optimus. Instead of continuing that tradition, get rid of all of them, only doing the optimus computation once on load. This should hopefully fix secondary cards suspending and then being unable to come back in non-optimus setups. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> Cc: <stable at

Correct. We do not handle every opcode, only the ones that have been observed so far. The purpose is to be able to test whether

[PATCH RFC] nouveau: Add support for Gmux _DSM method
This patch certainly needs some more work, but I'd like to get some comments. Not sure if it is really related to the gmux or if it is a different Optimus _DSM version. I tested it on my laptop (MCP79/7A + G96) and the G96 successfully goes to sleep, however it is still marked as PWR in vga_switcheroo, despite `vga_switcheroo_set_dynamic_switch(pdev, VGA_SWITCHEROO_OFF)` being called. ---

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: fix nouveau_dsm_get_client_id()'s return type
The method struct vga_switcheroo_handler::get_client_id() is defined as returning an 'enum vga_switcheroo_client_id' but the implementation in this driver, nouveau_dsm_get_client_id(), returns an 'int'. Fix this by returning 'enum vga_switcheroo_client_id' in this driver too. Signed-off-by: Luc Van Oostenryck <luc.vanoostenryck at gmail.com> ---
