To be honest I never did a kernel bisect, but I can try. I will try and let you
know.

I started with compiling kernel v.3.8 19f949f from
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git.
When I boot my PC with kernel 3.8 lightdm doesn't even start and I get a black
screen, I am attaching dmesg from booting on kernel 3.8.
After re-booting on

Would you be able to do a bisect between 3.7 and 3.8?
Another user identified commit 4f6029da58ba (in bug #67878) which came in
between 3.7 and 3.8 -- perhaps you have the same issue? It's a different card,
so might be different... a bunch of stuff changed between 3.7 and

R 3.0.0 and Raring Ringtail (Ubuntu 13.04)
New .deb packages for R 3.0.0 on Raring Ringtail (13.04) are available
on both [CRAN](http://cran.us.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu/) and my
[Launchpad PPA](https://launchpad.net/~marutter/+archive/rrutter). Some
notes for this release.
- The initial build for Raring Ringtail did not come with Tcl/Tk being
supported. This issue has been addressed and the current release
supports Tcl/Tk.

Moving to R 3.0.0 on Ubuntu
This is a post I just added to my Ubuntu R Blog
(http://www.personal.psu.edu/mar36/blogs/the_ubuntu_r_blog/2013/03/moving-to-r-300-on-ubuntu.html).
As you may (or may not) be aware of, R 3.0.0 is [scheduled to be
released](http://www.r-project.org/) on April 3rd. Since this is a
major release and there may be some growing pains (but I hope not) in
the move 3.0.0, here is some information

Oh, I didn't notice you were already running 3.13 -- I highly doubt 3.13.x
would help. 3.14-rc1 MIGHT but that's a low chance.
An interesting observation is that your BSP engine refuses MMIO writes when
coming back from sleep, but it was fine on original boot. We're

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58378
--- Comment #86 from Andreas Loew <awl1 at gmx.net> ---
Hello Ilia,
has there been any progress so far in getting this into the mainstream Linux
kernel (or mainstream git) for the next official kernel release?
I'd like to make an attempt to get this patch (or rather, a backport of it)
into official RHEL 6.x kernels, but I'd like

Samba 4 AD DC "Element not found" error in Windows 8
Hi:
I've just configured a Samba 4 install as an AD DC, following the Wiki
page at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO
I've successfully joined a few machines to the domain, and am now
trying to add some simple shares.
When I add a share to smb.conf, it appears on client machines via
\\domain.example.com\sharename but trying to open any shares gives the
error
