yuy2 not working in ubuntu 13.10
For many years im using the ubuntu with nouveau and the yuy2 scalemode in
mame. I think the last one was 11.10 or 12.04, not sure.
Now in the ubuntu 13.10 the yuy2 scalemode dont work in mame, but works
fine with the intel driver.
Tested with the kernels 3.11 and 3.12 from the ubuntu repository.
I think there's a regression in the nouveau used in ubuntu 13.10 with yuy2.

VxDs in Wine
I would like to see Mame/32 working in Wine, however, it uses a couple
of VxDs to do some things (I think it is timing and joysticks).
Normally VxD's do not work in Wine, but Mame/32 is open source. With
access to the source code of the VxD's, would it be possible to modify
the VxD files to work with Wine? If so, what would need to be done to
make the VxD drivers work with Wine?

We will only be doing [A]YUV ordered planar encoding, no other order, not
packed using one of several methods.

Theroa Guess Confirmation
Hi there, is there any document giving a high-level overview of how to
use "libtheora"? As it stands, I'm scrounging through headers and
example code, and doing a whole lot of guessing. In the meantime,
could you either confirm or deny the following guesses?
1) Before compressing with Theora, I must unpack my YUY2 data into
three separate arrays (Y, U, and V respectively), and

GCC/clang compilation issues
Hi,
I finally got around to trying to update FLAC for the MAME/MESS
project again. There were several issues I was able to fix and will
submit patches later, but I hit one roadblock with GCC and clang:
src/lib/libflac/libFLAC/stream_encoder.c:1696:43: error: cast from function call
of type 'double' to non-matching type 'FLAC__int32' (aka 'int')

X11 XVideo extension supported?
I was wondering if the XVideo extension is supported or not? In a
clean wine setup, I installed DivX 4.01 and The Playa, also installed
Windows Media Player 6.4. They can both display DivX 4.01 material
with sound. This is simply great :-)
However, the performance is not that great. Especially when going
fullscreen the cpu is overburdened (slide show). I assume that the
XVideo extension is not

My last post buggered - FWD about patch version2
No idea why my last post buggered, so here's what I meant to send
(attached is his actual patch):
Hi!
I made a little patch I'd like to see integrated (if appropriate)
which makes Compiz usable in desktop+TV-out setups. It adds the
--only-current-screen option to compiz which tell it to only manage
the screen defined by $DISPLAY and leave the others alone.
