[Bug 70389] [prime] unsynchronised rendering on secondary displays
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70389
--- Comment #2 from Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> ---
Try updating your intel ddx -- nouveau is not responsible for the contents of
the images it renders when in reverse-prime mode -- the primary gpu is (in your
case, intel).

[Bug 69876] [NVC3] Reverse prime sometimes freezes the machine
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69876
--- Comment #4 from Kevin N. <vekinn at gmail.com> ---
I experience the same thing with my Thinkpad t530 and NVS 5400m in Optimus mode
with 3.12-rc2 on Fedora 19.
Locks up if I use xrandr or try to do anything with the displayport unless I
have it plugged in at boot.
Works fine if I change in bios to discrete nvidia.

kernel driver prevents supend to disk since 3.7 series
Hello,
3.7.x kernels prevent my laptop with Optimus VGA from suspend to disk
with an PFIFO write fault in PCOPY0, see kernel log below.
During the 3.6.x upto 3.6.11 suspend worked without problems.
lspci -v info of the VGAs is attached.
What may I do to debug this further ?
Thanks for any help and greetings,
Hermann

[PATCH] ALSA: hda - Force runtime PM on Nvidia HDMI codecs
Przemysław Kopa reports that since commit b516ea586d71 ("PCI: Enable
NVIDIA HDA controllers"), the discrete GPU Nvidia GeForce GT 540M on his
2011 Samsung laptop refuses to runtime suspend, resulting in a power
regression and excessive heat.
Rivera Valdez witnesses the same issue with a GeForce GT 525M (GF108M)
of the same era, as does another Arch Linux user named "R0AR" with

Installing RHEL On Laptop.....
Not sure if this is the right place to come to, but I don't have "RHN"
support.....I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I have downloaded the RHEL .ios file and burned it to DVD/CD, my laptop
is primed to Boot From CD/ROM Drive, I start the installation using the
semi-graphical interface, and the first few options are a breeze, then
it gets to identifying the CD drive

James, it strikes me as odd that fence() is a no-op instead of a
barrier() for UP, can you verify/explain?
