Error in { : task 3 failed - "NA/NaN argument"
I'm attempting to run a rather complex routine that involves a few loops, and even some use of foreach and doMPI. I just added another external loop and now get this error message. Error in { : task 3 failed - "NA/NaN argument" Is there a way to debug what is causing this error or where? I really have no idea what "task 3" is? Thanks Jim

[LLVMdev] IEEE 754-2008 | ISO/IEC TR 18037
Many thanks for getting back. This will come in handy if you do not have a floating point unit. Also for speed in some cases. To be generic as possible it might be good to have this. BTW, in the doc I was reading there was not mention about Quad size numbers, decimal numbers and extended precision numbers. http://llvm.org/docs/LangRef.html#type-system -------------- next part -------------- An

list comprehension to create an arbitrary-sized list with arbitrary names/values
In python, one can do this mydict = dict([(keyfun(x), valfun(x)) for x in mylist]) to create a dictionary with whatever keys and values we want from an input list of arbitrary size. In R, I want to similarly create a list with names/values that are generated by some keyfun and valfun (assuming that keyfun is guaranteed to return something suitable as a name). How can I do this?

lattice: plotting an arbitrary number of panels, defining arbitrary groups
R Friends, I'm running R2.7.1 on Windows XP. I'm trying to get some lattice functionality which I have not seen previously documented--I'd like to plot the exact same data in multiple panels but changing the grouping variable each time so that each panel highlights a different feature of the data set. The following code does exactly that with a simple and fabricated air quality data

Testing arbitrary SQL
Hi, I would like to know how would you test a method in a model that uses complex a SQL query that joins several tables in order to make a calculation. I suppose that I need fixtures, although my approach with rspec is to avoid fixtures and isolate model specs, but none of both seems possible in this case. Is there another way than fixtures? Thanks.

Arbitrary elements in form_for?
I would like to use form_for in my project so that I can easily change the style of many forms at once. However, it seems to me like FormBuilders only support certain kinds of form elements(!). Surely there must be a way to add arbitrary labels/form elements to a form. Let''s say I had a form that looks like: ID: (plain-text label) Name: (text field) Birthdate: (date chooser) Picture:

Providing limited CRUD access to arbitrary tables through a web interface.
Hi There I''m starting Rails a project for the first time (used to work with PHP). I have to provide administrator ("super-user") access to a large number of tables. The access should be available through a web interface (the tables rendered as HTML forms on the browser, probably through HTML tables inside the form). From the CRUD set mostly R(etrieve) and U(pdate) are

Submit a form_remote from arbitrary JS
What I want to do is trigger an AJAX form submit from an event handler for a form element. The form is named, and I tried calling formname.submit() from the onblur handler. However, instead of using the settings from the form_remote_tag above it, the form ends up submitting the whole browser. I know what you''re thinking, why not use an observer? I tried that, and I ran into some

[SECURITY] Patch For Bug Serving Arbitrary Files
This is a proposed patch for the security hole reported today. You can just add the test for @path being at index 0 in the exanded req_path as shown below. Take heed of the comment I''ve added too, and there was a test for this very attack in the unit test suite, so it was removed by someone as well. I didn''t test this but I''m pretty sure it''s the fix. ===

Secunia / Firefox Javascript "Arbitrary Memory Exposure" test
I just confirmed the following bug on my firefox. http://secunia.com/advisories/14820/ Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050219 Firefox/1.0 (I think my firefox is a month or two behind, from ports, but the advisary indicates both 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 are effected.) has_one mapping with arbitrary right and left hand side keys
I have two tables: table_1: tab1_id, other_id table_2: id, tab2_id, something_else I would like to specify a has_one mapping from table_1 to table_2 but specifying that the join is based on (table_2.tab2_id = table_1.other_id). I am half way there with: class Table1 < ActiveRecord::Base set_table_name "table_1" set_primary_key "tab1_id" has_one :Table2, :class_name

Extending function symbols() to handle arbitrary shapes
Currently the function symbols() permits plotting of circles, squares, rectangles, stars, thermometers, and boxplots. Can anybody suggest an approach for extending/cloning this function to handle arbitrary shapes specified, perhaps, as bitmaps, or as postscript primitives? Thanks, Steve Dutky [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

tools to edit vorbis/theora/speex comments & icecast server adding arbitrary comments
Hi Mihamina, Indeed I'm looking for the same thing. I've looked at CMML/Annodex which looks very promising for what it is, but total overkill (and overly complex) to simply add meta-data (comments) to arbitrary ogg/theora/vorbis/speex (does speex have different comments then vorbis?) Does anyone have any simple C code that can just retreive and set arbitrary meta-comments in

Executing arbitrary commands, preexec, etc
Hi there. First, I'm not subscribed to the list, so if anyone actually replies to this, please CC me. Thanks. I have a problem which I feel sure can be solved with cunning use of Samba, CVS, and the like. Basically, I need a shared document repository with some sort of version control or sign-off. It has to be accessible to both Windows and *NIX users. Currently we have a home-grown system.

netboot arbitrary linux systems
I've been using pxelinux with good success to netboot knoppix systems. This is link has been the base for my work so far: http://www.babytux.org/articles/howto/how2netknoppix.php I keep all of the netbootable systems in /tftpboot/systems/knoppix-#.##, where knoppix-#.## is the filesystem extracted from the knoppix cd. Memdisk - handle arbitrary start addresses
To support AndyTim's work on El Torito Memdisk, I just checked in a change that lets Memdisk load a bootstrap at (almost) any address. In particular, after allocating memory for the hooks near the top of the memory it relocates the transient real-mode code to just below the hooks, so that it can continue to work but is out of the way of any fixed address anyone might want to put into low
