Odd output from X100P
I'm attempting to configure a machine with a DevKit Lite (X100P & S100U). After I modprobe wcfxo, the machine goes into some kind of loop after about 10 seconds, where it spits out what appears to be 32-bit addresses, ad infinitum. At this point, the machine becomes completely unresponsive to keyboard input (i.e. Ctrl-C, Ctrl-Alt-Del, even CapsLock and NumLock states [lights] cannot be

ISA connected CF card not found by CentOS 6
I am attempting to install CentOS 6 on a PC104 stack and am experiencing issues with anaconda not being able to find the Compact Flash (CF) card hosted in an IDE-CF board connected via the ISA bus. Did someone finally remove the ISA capability from the kernel? On the same hardware I have been able to install CentOS 5. With the CentOS 6 install DVD, the system boots up and proceeds until it

Event.observe problem
Hi everyone! I came across and interesting problem with prototype Event.observe. Take this code for example: <script type="text/javascript" src="cropper/lib/prototype.js"></script> <script language="JavaScript"><!-- function handler(e) { if (document.all) { e = window.event; } var key; if (document.layers) key = e.which; if

Numlock
We have encountered an anomaly that appears to be related somehow to Samba. When users are moved to the new domain hosted by Samba4.3 then the numlock on their keyboards is always turned off when they log onto the domain regardless of its previous setting. This in itself is just a nuisance. However we have an application called SnetTerm, an ssh client, which will not recognise the numlock at

Centos 6 - tigervnc - numbers on keypad
I have a ncurses-based program that runs on a vnc desktop on a remote computer. On Centos 5 you could enter numbers into the program using the numeric keypad. I just installed a new machine running Centos 6 to do this same job and now numbers can only be entered using the numbers across the top of the keyboard. The program still recognizes the keys on the keypad when numlock is not set (so you

centos 5.3 with dkms-nvidia-x11-drv and gnome power manager sleep
Hi all, On my ThinkPad T61, I am trying to get gnome power manager's sleep function to work properly. When I bring my machine back up after sleep, I end up with just a black screen and nothing responding.. no capslock light when I hit capslock for example. I am running the latest nvidia driver from rpmforge (I'm suspecting the nvidia driver isn't playing nice). With Ubuntu I

IDLE still broken
Hey, Sure enough, IDLE 1.0.3 came with Python 2.3, but the update did not fix my problem. I found a entry in RedHat's bugzilla, "Inconsistent input from numeric pad when numlock off", bug 136600. I put one in on SourceForge (where Python bugs are tracked) under IDLE, "input from numeric pad always dropped when numlock off", # 1074333.

Running EQ2 under Wine locks my system... anyone else?
I'm trying to make a return to getting Everquest2 running under Wine, but I'm hampered at the moment by the fact that it hard-locks my system when it gets to the "Adding player to world..." stage. A few months back it would get this far and crash but now it absolutely locks up, mouse still moves but cannot click, other windows on screen (such as the one with "top"

Xen4CentOS installation strangeness

I installed CentOS 6.5 64bit on the machine without any problems, but after following the Xen setup steps at http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/Xen4QuickStart which installed me the kernel 3.10.32-11.el6.centos.alt.x86_64, I encountered a problem: After "Starting certmonger

system lockup when hammering ext3 partition
This might be a bad HD but I thought I'd ask anyway. Running RedHat 8 system; kernel 2.4.18-14. Was having some weird problems on boot so I did: % find / -type f -fstype ext3 | perl -n -e 'print `md5sum $_`;' to torture the disk. It's a 20G Maxtor disk with about 12G free. The system locks up hard (no ping, no capslock light) after a while. Different place every time.
