A Study on "Dependence capturing strength" of four Dependence Analyzers in LLVM on SPEC 2017 benchmarks
Hi, I am Adil Arun Dangui, a 3rd year B.Tech student at IIT Hyderabad with a CGPA of 9.17. I am interested in Compilers, Compiler Optimizations and excited about LLVM and Polly. I have some familiarity of LLVM structure as we studied it in the Compiler Engineering course at IITH. Here

trigonometric regression
Suppose I do a trigonometric regression fit<-lm(y~ cf + sf) where cf and sf are the cos and sine components. b<-coef(fit) I have the fitted sine component b[2] and the cos component b[3]. Doing summary(fit) gives me the p-values and SEs for b[2] and b[3]. But I want the amplitude of the fitted waveform amp<-sqrt(b[2]^2+b[3]^2) Can someone please tell me how to get the p-value for amp?

using its to import time series data with uneven dates
Good day: I am trying to use readcsvIts("nwr_data_qc.txt",informat=its.format("%Y%m%d%h%M %Y"),header=TRUE,sep="",skip=0,row.names=NULL,as.is=TRUE,dec=".") to read in a file (nwr_data_qc.txt) that looks like this: Time Y M D H Min CO2 2000.18790 2000. 3. 9. 18. 30. 373.60 2000.20156 2000. 3. 14. 18. 30. 373.34

mgcv, gam
Hola! I have some problems with gam in mgcv. Firts a detail: it would be nice igf gam would accept an na.action argument, but that not the main point. I want to have a smooth term for time over a year, the same pattern repeating in succesive years. It would be natural then to impose the condition s(0)=s(12). Is this possible within mgcv? I tried to obtain this with trigonometric terms, aca:

Precomputing the remaining floating point operations.
I see there are still some floating point operations left in the codec init(ialization) code. Changing that code to fixed point is not only difficult (due to the trigonometric functions etc) but may also degrade the precision. Here is an idea whereby we can easily precompute (record) all those values on a powerful processor and then use (replay) them on an embedded processor / DSP. The only

Simple Problem: Plotting mathematical functions
Hey there, I want to plot 5 parabola functions, which happen to be f(x) = 0.25x? + 6,47x -32.6 g(x)=0.99x? -6x -195 j(x)= 0.77x? +14x -495 k(x)=0.001x? + 65x -785 l(x) = 0.9x? -2x -636 in the same graph. Sadly I even do not really understand how to plot just one graph... I found this code in the Internet, which plots a cos-function: >x <- seq( -10, 10, length = 1000) >plot(x,

Debugging LLVM IR - Reviving the DebugIR pass
Hello all, I recently felt the need to have debug info at the LLVM IR level (because my frontend's semantics vastly differ from IR that it doesn't make much sense to use it). Asm can sometimes be too "low level", so it's nice to have the ability to single-step at the IR level. The pass that used to do this (-debugir) bitrotted and was removed from tree. I spent the weekend

Sharing Sessions between Ruby on Rails and PHP
Hi there, I have a RoR app but for one of the funcationality (photo uploads) I am using PHP. I need to know how I can share/access session information from RoR in PHP since the PHP also updates the database and the entry information is contained in the RoR sessions. Please advice. Thanks in advance. Adil --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because

point.in.polygon() in sp package: accuracy problems?
Dear list: I encountered some problems using the function point.in.polygon() of the sp package, when trying to determine whether some points lye inside, outside, on the border or on a vertice of a polygon. I have a list of point I know should lye right on the border of a polygon, but some of them are not classified as such by point.in.polygon() (see the example code below). To make a long story

Handsfree Speakerphone
Hi, What is out there in terms of SIP enabled handsfree speakerphones? Looking for something that works well and also fits a low budget. I am used to using a Cisco 7940. It is a great phone but a bit expensive. Thought about the Polycom SoundPoint 300 until I realized that it does not include speakerphone functionality. Thanks, Adi
