StringSwitch class
Sorry for belaboring on a possibly minor point here, but is my understanding correct that even assuming that the case function is always inlined so we don't have extra function call overhead, we have the redundant if (!Result) checks when we use StringSwitch as opposed to a bunch of if- elses. Thanks. On Mon, Feb 8, 2016 at 12:00 PM, Anupama Chandrasekhar < anupama.lists at gmail.com>

StringSwitch class
Hi: I have a question about the llvm StringSwitch class. Why is this more efficient than comparing the hashes of the strings or just using a bunch of if statements. CELT license
I too would like to know the status of the opus IP holders. From what I've seen on the CELT and opus lists, it seems that the CELT part of opus is covered by patents from Xiph and Broadcom, and the SILK part of opus is covered by the rest. All of the IP holders except Qualcomm and Huawei have released their patents to the public as far as opus is concerned, and the general consensus from

Save Workspace Image? problem at start up
Dear Sir, I am using R 2.13.1. Since yesterday when I start the Rgui the message "Save Workspace Image?" shows up immediately on opening. Even if I cancel, it does not get cancelled. If I select either no or yes, it quits. I do not know all of a sudden what happened? Right from yesterday I am trying my best to run R but am not able to do so. Please help. Thanks -- Dr. TR

Latest Flac license thinking?
A while back Josh was thinking of changing the Flac license, and posted a question on Slashdot regarding various licensing schemes. Josh, have you come to any conclusions about future licensing of Flac? - Woody _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx

RFC #2: Improving license & patent issues in the LLVM community
Hello everyone, This email is a continuation of a discussion from almost a year ago, started back here: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2015-October/091536.html As described in that email, this is a complicated topic and deals with sensitive legal issues. I am not a lawyer, and this email is not intended to be legal advice in the formal sense. That said, I have spoken with many

Not the OP, but I will tell you why it is important. GPL, as you know, is put in place to protect the opensource aspect of the code, and as such requires the changes be published for modifications that are done on top of the existing

dovecot-sasl license
hi, i talked to timo about re-licensing the sasl part of dovecot under a more liberal license (bsd/lgpl e.g.). it would allow the integration of it in bsd base systems. another reason i would be interested is adding sasl support to svnserve [1]. so here is my question: what is your oppinion about this issue? any objections from contributors? darix [1] http://subversion.tigris.org/ -- irssi

License statement
I am writing a package for a company for its internal use only. What is an appropriate license statement for the DESCRIPTION file? I would like a statement which reflects the private and proprietary nature of the package, giving copyright to the writer and the company. I also don't want to violate the licensing of R and the packages I am using (RODBC, ggplot2, zoo). David Scott --

License for asterisk-addons?
I've extracted the asterisk-addons-1.2.2.tar.gz file and don't see a COPYING or LICENSE file, nor is there a mention of GPL or BSD in the README file. asterisk-sounds is BSD licensed, so it's not entirely clear how asterisk-addons is licensed -- though I would guess GPL. Can anyone clarify the licensing for asterisk-addons? Thanks, CJM
