Hi Paul, Thanks for your response. Let me actually post more details visualizing my case. Jump Threading duplicates dbg.declare intrinsics for fragments, bug?
Hi, I'm hitting an assertion "overlapping or duplicate fragments" in the DWARF codegen in addFragmentOffset(). This originates from a duplicated dbg.declare intrinsic, declaring the same fragment twice. The duplicated call was generated by the jump threading pass. I have a patch (see below) that removes simply such duplicates, but I'm not sure whether that is the right

lld/lto/win32 crash on DIE code
Hello Carlo, I tried your reproducer and faced different problem from one you described (I'm using MacOS Sierra and lld built from trunk on Mar, 15). The crash happens when SelectionDAGBuilder::lowerInvokable tries to access EH info of this function: ms_t26_RemObjects_d_Elements_d_EUnit_d_Runnerb_RunChildrennt2a_RemObjects_d_Elements_d_EUnit_d_RunContext This happens because LLVM

Jump Threading duplicates dbg.declare intrinsics for fragments, bug?
Hi Björn, I don't have any answers, just more confusion. Hopefully someone else can bring some light to this. I'm also interested in dbg.declares and what the rules are regarding them since it's not very clear to me at the moment. A similar fix as yours was made for duplicate non-fragment dbg.declares in r305244 and there is a bit of discussion about it in

[LLVMdev] RFC: Reduce the memory footprint of DIEs (and DIEValues)
Pete Cooper and I have been looking at memory profiles of running llc on verify-uselistorder.lto.opt.bc (ld -save-temps dump just before CodeGen of building verify-uselistorder with -flto -g). I've attached leak-backend.patch, which we're using to make Intrustruments more accurate (instead of effectively leaking things onto BumpPtrAllocators, really leak them with malloc()). (I've

StripDeadDebugInfo for static inline functions.
+ Adrian + David Hi Arsen, This sounds like a bug to me. Have you tried reproducing it on trunk? For instance, I see that the relation between DICompileUnit and DISubprogram was changed in the meantime (https://reviews.llvm.org/D19034 <https://reviews.llvm.org/D19034>). If this no longer occurs on master you could bisect the compiler to find the commit(s) that fix this and consider

[LLVMdev] Module crash when adding CallInst
Hi, I am learning to write LLVM modules. I am using IRBuilder to insert calls to an existing function. The call is to be inserted at a random location in every function in the code. The call does get inserted, however, the module crashes later (after doFinalization()). The crash happens only sometimes, not always. These are the kind of instructions that I see in the generated code. %callins =

[Debuginfo][DWARF][LLD] Remove obsolete debug info in lld.
Folks, we work on optimization of binary size and improvement of debug info quality. To reduce the size of the binary we use -ffunction-sections so that unused code would be garbage collected. When the linker does garbage collection, a lot of abandoned debug info is left behind. Besides inflated debug info size, we ended up with overlapping address ranges and no way to say valid vs garbage

StripDeadDebugInfo for static inline functions.
Hi all, I would like to understand the strip-dead-debug-info transformation. In my test case there is a static inline function with two local variables. It appears that the function is already inlined before strip-dead-debug-info starts its work. As a result the DICompileUnit is cleaned and its subprograms list has no reference to the DISubprogram for the inlined function, but as there is
