trying to get a minimal windows program linked with lld
+ruiu and compnerd, since there might be an lld issue here.
A slightly simpler example. This is all x86_64; I haven't tried x86.

int mainCRTStartup() { ExitProcess(0); }
% cat kernel32.def

Using LLD to create a .lib from a .def
I'm copying some LLD code into my codebase like this:

struct Symbol;
struct Export {
StringRef Name; // N in /export:N or /export:E=N

Using LLD to create a .lib from a .def
I saw this change come in yesterday:
commit 572ad839e2f66eaa82ffc71b1061eb3d06a4d126

COFF: add support for lib mode usage
When link is invoked with `/def:` and no input files, it behaves as if
`lib.exe` was invoked. Emulate this behaviour, generating the import
library from the

My console app doesn't run in wine
Hi,
Dunno wether it's a problem in my app or wine, so I thought I'd better post here first before going to bugzilla. So pardon me if I'm wrong here with this.
I wrote a Win32 console app which runs without problems on at least Win98 and WinXP.
If I start it by doubleclick it also seems to run fine in wine (as far as it runs as a console app started without any command line args ;) )

assertion triggered since update to llvm 5
When zig updated to llvm 5 we started hitting this assertion:
zig:
/home/andy/downloads/llvm-project/llvm/include/llvm/Support/Casting.h:106:
static bool llvm::isa_impl_cl<To, const From*>::doit(const From*) [with To
= llvm::Instruction; From = llvm::Value]: Assertion `Val && "isa<> used on
a null pointer"' failed.
I wonder if however this was caused by an

Can you please open a bug on bugzilla and attach the ir testcase? Your fix
doesn't look right (just hiding the assertion failure)

assertion triggered since update to llvm 5
So, 90% of the time I've seen this, it was memory corruption, usually use
after free. I know I fixed one after 5.0 branched.
You should compile with address sanitizer enabled, and I suspect you will
find the issue quicky.
If not, we really need ir that reproduces it.

AOL/Jr Monopoly game installer. Crash on exit
Hello all,
have some free time and desided to help in wine tasting :-)
With a pack of serials I recerived a CD with AOL trial installation and
a game Monopoly Jr of company Hasbro Interactive Games
(www.hasbro-interactive.com) and tried to install the game with Wine.
One of the problems: when I run autorun.exe it brings main installer
dialog. I click "Quit" button and the

I have a Zig implementation of ceil which is emitted into LLVM IR like this:

WG: Re: Wine and the serial port [LONG]
Hi, I applied your patch and recompiled, but I'm still having trouble. In
what follows I've tried to describe some details.
The first problem was this: The Comm-Port gets opened with overlapped I/O.
However, for WaitCommEvent() we do not specify an overlapped structure. This
works fine on NT4 / W2K, but is contrary to the documentation, which
specifys that you need to supply an

wine serial support
Hi,
I use wine to run a terminal emulator (NetTerm).
It connects to a Linux Server (it was meant to run from windows) that runs a commerce software.
This Linux commerce software sends the terminal emulator escape codes to interface with a
"ticket" printer attached to a serial port.
The reason to go thru all this problem is that the printer has a proprietary, closed source driver

wine-20010510 fails to run?
The system I am using is a clean install of Mandrake 8.0 which
has the gcc version 2.96 installed.
I downloaded the wine-20010510 snapshot and successfully
ran the ./tools/wininstall.
The build seems to have run without problems and if I type:
wine --version
the correct release number is displayed indicating the
install was also succesful.
As per the FAQ I also did the following:

[PATCH v6 0/2] RFE: journal reader in guestfish
Output is configurable, it's the same format as virt-log has, since both
uses same code.
First patch moves get_journal_field around and renames it to journal_view
and the next one reimplements it a bit and brings it to guestfish.
Maros Zatko (2):
cat: move get_journal_field to fish/journal.c
fish: add journal-view command (RHBZ#988100)

Windows TAP driver issues
Thanks for the info, that is very helpful. It does look like that
change got back-ported to master, albeit in a different form.
I'll take a look at how OpenVPN does its windows device I/O.

Making use of win32_segv
Hello R-devel,
When checking packages on Windows, a crash of the process looks like a
sudden stop in the output of the child process, which can be very
perplexing for package maintainers (e.g. [1,2]), especially if the
stars are only right on Win-Builder but not on the maintainer's PC.
On Unix-like systems, we get a loud message from the SIGSEGV handler
and (if we're lucky and the memory
