After gluster clean up sub directories becomes invisible
Steps to do gluster clean up
1. umount -f /export/home/ecmsftp
2. Remove the /export/home/ecmsftp mount point line from /etc/fstab
file if it exists.
3. Delete gluster file system volume if it exists; ignore if it does
not exist.
# gluster
gluster>volume list
eftpVol
gluster> volume stop eftpVol

Error when creating volume
Hello,
I've removed a volume and I can't re-create it :
gluster volume create gluster-export gluster-6:/export gluster-5:/export
gluster-4:/export gluster-3:/export
/export or a prefix of it is already part of a volume
I've formatted the partition and reinstalled the 4 gluster servers and
the error still appears.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

approx function wierd result
Dear R-list members,
I am calculating the linear extrapolation for a data set, using the function
found in Hmisc.
x=c(0.0265,-0.0003,0.0142,0.0263,0.0634,0.1145,0.2504)
y=c(58,107,152,239,362,512,724)
x1=0.0393216
approxExtrap(x,y,x1, method="linear")
approx(x,y,x1)
#to see what is happening:
plot(x, y, typ="o")
abline(v=x1, col=8)
Which gives x=0.03 and y=163, instead of

Re-adding an existing brick to a volume
Let me see if I understand this.
Remove attrs from the brick and delete the .glusterfs folder. Data stays
in place. Add the brick to the volume.
Since most of the data is the same as on the actual volume it does not
need to be synced, and the heal operation finishes much faster.
Do I have this right?
Kind regards,
Mitja

Sangoma A200D problem
Hi all,
I've been having problems with my A20002D lately - callers from the PSTN
don't hear me when I answer, but I hear them. Disabling echo
cancellation in zapata.conf brings the audio (and echo) back. This used
to work fine, until two days ago.
The only weird thing in the logs is this:

framing on the bus!

Off Topic: Statistical "philosophy" rant
R-Listers.
The following is a rant originally sent privately to Frank Harrell in
response to remarks he made on this list. The ideas are not new or original,
but he suggested I share it with the list, as he felt that it might be of
wider interest, nonetheless. I have real doubts about this, and I apologize
in advance to those who agree that I should have kept my remarks private.

Change transport type on volume from tcp to rdma
Hello
I have two peers setup and working with x2 bricks each. They have been
working via tcp for the last 4-5 months.
I just got two Infiniband cards and put the on the peers. I want to
change the transport type to rdma instead of tcp but I don't see an easy
way to do this.
Can you please help me with proper instructions.

Is it possible to clone an NT ACL from one file or dir to a totally different file or dir ?
Can I use a command like this to clone an NT ACL?
getfattr -n security.NTACL templateFile | sed -e
's/templateFile/realFile/' | sudo setfattr --restore=-
I can see that the attribute gets copied over but when I view the ACL in
Windows security tab it's not the same ACL, it's much bigger and
includes all kinds of default-like stuff. I'm trying to find a way to

BUT, where does the "sar" come from?
