GlusterFS, Pacemaker, OCF resource agents on CentOS 7
Hi guys I'm wondering if anyone here is using the GlusterFS OCF resource agents with Pacemaker on CentOS 7? yum install centos-release-gluster yum install glusterfs-server glusterfs-resource-agents The reason I ask is that there seem to be a few problems with them on 3.10, but these problems are so severe that I'm struggling to believe I'm not just doing something wrong. Problems joining new gluster 3.10 nodes to existing 3.8
Hi, I have a problem joining four Gluster 3.10 nodes to an existing Gluster 3.8 nodes. My understanding that this should work and not be too much of a problem. Peer robe is successful but the node is rejected: gluster> peer detach elkpinfglt07 peer detach: success gluster> peer probe elkpinfglt07 peer probe: success. gluster> peer status Number of Peers: 6 Hostname: elkpinfglt02

glusterfs 3.13 repo unavailable and downgrade to 3.12.9 fails
You can still get them from https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/gluster-3.13/ (I don't know how much longer they'll be there. I suggest you copy them if you think you're going to need them in the future.) n 05/15/2018 04:58 AM, Davide Obbi wrote: > hi, > > i noticed that this repo for glusterfs 3.13 does not exists anymore at: > >

df reports wrong full capacity for distributed volumes (Glusterfs 3.12.6-1)
Hi Jose, There is a known issue with gluster 3.12.x builds (see [1]) so you may be running into this. The "shared-brick-count" values seem fine on stor1. Please send us "grep -n "share" /var/lib/glusterd/vols/volumedisk1/*" results for the other nodes so we can check if they are the cause. Shut down your 3.13 nodes, change their op-version to one of the valid 3.12 op-versions (e.g. 31203) and restart. Then the 3.12 nodes should

Why does glusterfs has nfs stuff on the server
When I installed gluster and do a "ps" on the process I see: /usr/sbin/glusterfs -f /etc/glusterd/nfs/nfs-server.vol -p /etc/glusterd/nfs/run/nfs.pid -l /var/log/glusterfs/nfs.log" My question is why did glusterfs use nfs-server.vol, nfs.pid and nfs.log instead of using some generic name. This is confusing and makes me think it's using nfs somehow on the server even though

High CPU Usage After Glusterfs install
Hi Guys, I have 2 servers with a fresh install of glusterfs and I am seeing a very high CPU load.? I am trying to just do a very basic config to get this started and for the life of me, I don't know what could be causing it.? The CPU goes up to 100% across all 4 CPU's on each gluster node and I am seeing timeouts coming from the vms that I am testing with.? I simply copied the

glusterfs 3.13 repo unavailable and downgrade to 3.12.9 fails
hi, i noticed that this repo for glusterfs 3.13 does not exists anymore at: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/ i knew was not going to be long term supported however the downgrade to 3.12 breaks the server node i believe the issue is with: *[2018-05-15 08:54:39.981101] E [MSGID: 101019] [xlator.c:503:xlator_init] 0-management: Initialization of volume 'management'

df reports wrong full capacity for distributed volumes (Glusterfs 3.12.6-1)
Hi, Some days ago all my glusterfs configuration was working fine. Today I realized that the total size reported by df command was changed and is smaller than the aggregated capacity of all the bricks in the volume. I checked that all the volumes status are fine, all the glusterd daemons are running, there is no error in logs, however df shows a bad total size. My configuration for one volume:

Sent and Received peer request (Connected)
This morning I did a rolling update from the latest 3.7.x to 3.12.4, with no client activity. "Rolling" as in, shut down the Gluster services on the first server, update, reboot, wait until up and running, proceed to the next server. I anticipated that a 3.12 server might not properly talk to a 3.7 server but since I had no client activity I was not overly concerned. All three servers

Healing in glusterfs 3.3.1
Hi, I have a glusterfs 3.3.1 setup with 2 servers and a replicated volume used by 4 clients. Sometimes from some clients I can't access some of the files. After I force a full heal on the brick I see several files healed. Is this behavior normal? Using glusterfs for virtual machines with qcow2 images
Chris: Whilst I don't know what is the issue nor the root cause of your issue with using GlusterFS with Proxmox, but I am going to guess that you might already know that Proxmox "natively" supports Ceph, which the Wikipedia article for it says that it is a distributed object storage system. Maybe that might work better with Proxmox? Hope this helps. Sorry that I wasn't able

[EXT] [Glusterusers] Using glusterfs for virtual machines with qco
We use qcow2 with libvirt based kvm on many small clusters and have found it to be exremely reliable though maybe not the fastest, though some of that is most of our storage is SATA SSDs in a software RAID1 config for each brick. What problems are you running into? You just mention 'problems' -wk On 6/1/23 8:42 AM, Christian Schoepplein wrote: > Hi, > > we'd like to use
