Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
I tried to re-create manually my quotas but not even that works now. Running the "limit-usage" command as showed below returns success: $ sudo gluster volume quota myvolume limit-usage /userdirectory 50GB volume quota : success but when I list the quotas using "list" nothing appears. What can I do to fix that issue with the quotas? > -------- Original Message -------- >

Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
Mabi, We have fixed a couple of issues in the quota list path. Could you also please attach the quota.conf file (/var/lib/glusterd/vols/ patchy/quota.conf) (Ideally, the first few bytes would be ascii characters followed by 17 bytes per directory on which quota limit is set) Regards, Sanoj On Tue, Aug 1, 2017 at 1:36 PM, mabi <mabi at protonmail.ch> wrote: > I also just noticed quite

Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
Thank you very much Sanoj, I ran your script once and it worked. I now have quotas again... Question: do you know in which release this issue will be fixed? > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: Re: [Gluster-users] Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2 > Local Time: August 4, 2017 3:28 PM > UTC Time: August 4, 2017 1:28 PM > From: sunnikri at

Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
Hi mabi, This is a likely issue where the last gfid entry in the quota.conf file is stale (because the directory was deleted with quota limit on it being removed) (https://review.gluster.org/#/c/16507/) To fix the issue, we need to remove the last entry (last 17 bytes/ 16bytes based on quota version) in the file. Please use the below work around for the same until next upgrade. you only need to

Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
Hi Sanoj, I copied over the quota.conf file from the affected volume (node 1) and opened it up with a hex editor but can not recognize anything really except for the first few header/version bytes. I have attached it within this mail (compressed with bzip2) as requested. Should I recreate them manually? there where around 10 of them. Or is there a hope of recovering these quotas? Regards, M. >

Cannot set user quotas
Hello, I am having some trouble getting quota's to work. When I try to set the quota for a user, it does not show up when I run repquota. I am doing this on a Redhat (RHEL5) machine (I assume it is the same on Centos). I think I am missing a step, but this is what I am doing: (1) I add usrquota to the /etc/fstab file, then reboot LABEL=/home /home ext3 defaults, usrquota 1 2 (2) Verify

disk quotas + centos 5,5 +xfs
Hi all, is any one aware quotas not working in 5,5? I'm using XFS as a file system. My fstab has the appropriate usrquota, grpquota but when I try to run; quotacheck -cug /foo I get; quotacheck: Can't find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option. I already have a large amount of data in the mount. Do quotas get implemented on only empty filesystems and

fail to display xfs quotas instead of smbcquotas on Win clients
Hi Samba 3.6.3 on Ubuntu. Filesystem is xfs, grpquota and usrquota are enabled. root at host:# repquota /mntpoint displays the correct data (see below). In smb.conf I defined max protocol = SMB2. When running smbcquotas //host/share -L I'm getting displayed a value of 16GB for every user share. This is the value that is displayed on the windows 7 boxes when looking at the network shares in

little mount question
Hello, I was wondering while playing with the mount type if there is a way to just add options to mountpoint without touching anything else. For exemple : # prevent kernel bug mount { proc: options => [ ''noexec'',''nosuid''] } or mount { var: options => [ ''noatime'',''usrquota''] } as i want to add and

Managing filesystem quotas
I wish to impose a quota on a samba share. I''ve created a mount, using puppet, enabling usrquota. I''ve then run quotacheck manually, and edquota manually to set up the quota. I suppose I could have puppet deliver the aquota.user file, but I don'' think that doesn''t really enable me to rebuild the machine without manual intervention. What would be really

XFS quotas not working at all (seemingly)
Hi All, I have a very strange problem that I'm unable to pinpoint at the moment. For some reason I am simply unable to get xfs_quotas to report correctly on a freshly installed, fully patched CentOS 6 box. I have specified all the same options as on another machine which *is* reporting quota LABEL=TEST /exports/TEST xfs inode64,nobarrier,delaylog,usrquota,grpquota 0 0 xfs_quota -xc

xfs quota weirdness
Hi all, I have a quota problem with xfs (xfsprogs 3.1.7+b1 on debian GNU/Linux 7 -- wheezy) and samba-4.1.19. If I set a user quota to say 10GB, windows explorer reports a 20GB quota of which none used. If I change quota to x, windows explorer reports 2x space of which none used. So I assume samba is somehow getting (albeit incomplete and incorrect) xfs quota info from operating system. disks

Issue mounting /home area from NAS server
Hi, Just before the Thanksgiving break, we enabled quotas on the /home areas on the mseas-data server (running CentOS 5.8), using the following line in the updated /etc/fstab /dev/mapper/the_raid-lv_home /home ext3 defaults, usrquota, grpquota 1 0 Following the Thanksgiving reboot of mseas-data we have been experiencing problems with svn on mseas (our front-end machine, running

Quotas not working after adding arbiter brick to replica 2
Hello, As you might have read in my previous post on the mailing list I have added an arbiter node to my GlusterFS 3.8.11 replica 2 volume. After some healing issues and help of Ravi that could get fixed but now I just noticed that my quotas are all gone. When I run the following command: glusterfs volume quota myvolume list There is no output... In the /var/log/glusterfs/quotad.log I can see the

Hi, I have a strange problem with user quotas enabled on a xfs filesystem and samba 3.0.21c: When a standard block device (e.g. /dev/sdc1) is used for the fs, quota works like expected: /dev/sdc1 on /mnt/tmp type xfs (rw,usrquota) output from level quota:10 debug: [2006/04/19 14:38:48, 10] lib/sysquotas.c:sys_get_quota(394) sys_get_quota() uid(4004, 4004) [2006/04/19 14:38:48, 10]
