Bricks not starting after restart node
Hello Gluster Community,
I am using Gluster3.10 in a 2-Node-Szenario (with CentosOS7-machines).
After restarting one of the nodes,
sometimes one of these two phenomena occurs:
1. The brick process of a volume on the newly started node is no
longer running
2. The Brick Process Is Running But The First Knot Still Believes
He Can not Reach

Scheduled AutoCommit Function for WORM Feature
Hello Gluster Community,
while reading that article:
https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-specs/blob/master/under_review/worm-compliance.md
there seems to be an interesting feature planned for the WORM Xlator:
*Scheduled Auto-commit*: Scan Triggered Using timeouts for untouched files.
The next scheduled namespace scan will cause the transition. CTR DB via
libgfdb can be used to find files that

ObjectStore on top of gluster volume
Hello Gluster Community,
does anybody know how much performance (read/write bandwith) I will loose if I use an object store on top of a gluster volume?
Any experiences?

Understanding dovecot ACLs
Hello List
I am running a Cyrus IMAP that needs to be replaced.
Geting a Dovecot IMAP up and running was surprisingly simple.
My configuration is close to Johnny Chaddas Howto at
http://johnny.chadda.se/2007/04/15/mail-server-howto-postfix-and-dovecot-with-mysql-and-tlsssl-postgrey-and-dspam/
Its a Dovecot 1.1.10 on FreeBSD 6.4
Anyway, while basic setup was easy, i stuck in a couple of details

Gluster allows renaming of folders, which contains WORMed/Retain or WORMed files
Hi there,
I think this bug, I have found recently, seems to be not trivial:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1558507
In my opinion, it is a violation against the WORM defintion. Discussions
are welcome ;-)

After some stracing I found that CA used by qemu should be in
/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt (on client machine)
is any way to specify this CA?

It depends what you are asking about. There are various connections,
each of you can configure separately.

Asterisk 11.5.1 / TLS and Media Encryption / Blink as Client / no audio
Hi,
I use Asterisk 11.5.1 and it works fine. :)
Now I want to use TLS and media encryption. I followed this guide:
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial
When I place a call via Blink-Client (0.5.0) I get connected and Blink
shows 2 locks. The blue lock shows "Signaling is encrypted using TLS"
and the orange lock shows "Media is encrypted using

Trusted pool authentication & traffic encryption
Hi all,
I have some questions concerning Gluster security.
I was thinking about using Gluster for synchronizing data between my laptop and my desktop computer. I realize that this is not the usual use case, but I think it should work. I would create one replica-2 volume with one brick on each PC plus a FUSE mount of that volume on each PC. I would then always write my data to the local FUSE

Different results in setting atime
Hello Gluster Community,
I did some experiments with setting the atime in different scenarios. In
scenario 2,3 and 4 I have a simple replica 2 volume with worm-file-level on

touch -a -t 197001010001 test[davids at gluster-test1 src]$ stat test File:

Question about encryption and tls
(Posted few days ago on qemu group but no reactions)
Do I understand correctly that ssl shoudl be configured independently
for libvirt and each hypervisor?
I asked because I configured libvirt connection as
qemu+tls://bambus.kjonca/system?pkipath=...
(and on bambus in /etc/libvirt/libvirtd.conf) I set
key_file = ...
cert_file = ...
ca_file = ...
But after connect and lauching (on bambus) vm I

Why does Dovecot authentication against Openldap fail when using TLS encryption?
Dear Mailing list,
I have a Dovecot v2.2.9 server that authenticate against a Openldap server.

[RFC] __builtin_constant_p() Improvements
Hello again!
I took a stab at PR4898[1]. The attached patch improves Clang's
__builtin_constant_p support so that the Linux kernel is happy. With this
improvement, Clang can determine if __builtin_constant_p is true or false
after inlining.
As an example:
static __attribute__((always_inline)) int foo(int x) {
if (__builtin_constant_p(x))
return 1;
return 0;
}
