docs.gluster.org
Hello, To reduce confusion, we've setup docs.gluster.org pointing to gluster.readthedocs.org. Both URLs will continue to work for the forseeable future. Please update any references that you control to point to docs.gluster.org. At some point in the distant future, we will switch to hosting docs.gluster.org on our own servers. RTD will set up a canonical link to docs.gluster.org[1]. Over

Gluster documentation search
Hello folks, I spend some time today mucking about trying to figure out how to make our documentation search a better experience. The short answer is, search kind of works now. Long answer: mkdocs creates a client side file which is used for search. RTD overrides this by referring people to Elasticsearch. However, that doesn't clear out stale entries and we're plagued with a whole lot of

Narrow escape with FAULTED disks
Nothing like a "heart in mouth moment" to shave tears from your life. I rebooted a snv_132 box in perfect heath, and it came back up with two FAULTED disks in the same vdisk group. Everything an hour on Google I found basically said "your data is gone". All 45Tb of it. A postmortem of fmadm showed a single disk failed with smart predictive failure. No indication why the

[Gluster-devel] GlusterFest Test Weekend - 3.5 Test #1
Incidentally, we're wrapping this up today. If you want to be included in the list of swag-receivers (t-shirt, USB car charger, and stickers), you still have a couple of hours to file a bug and have it verified by the dev team. Thanks, everyone :) -JM ----- Original Message ----- > On 12/05/2013 09:31 PM, John Mark Walker wrote: > > Greetings, > > > > If you've

ustack() issues && correlating SIGSEGV activ ity?
Hi Ryan, > Does anyone happen to know why the ustack() doesn''t show lex, > yak, main > and _start? A quick look with the source browser seems to indicate that _rt_boot is code executed very early in the lifetime of your process by ld.so.1. What seems to be happening is that ld.so.1 has allocated some memory before DTrace got control of your process - long before main() was

CTDB Node unnecessarily banning other nodes
Hi, We are using CTDB version 1.0.77 and yesterday we saw an instance of node running into issues and banning itself to recover (as listed below): node1: 2009/07/29 23:23:37.748251 [22371]: Banning node 0 for 300 seconds 2009/07/29 23:23:37.748263 [22371]: self ban - lowering our election priority 2009/07/29 23:23:37.748503 [22275]: This node has been banned - forcing freeze and recovery Now

[Gluster-devel] Integration of GPU with glusterfs
It is disappointing to see the limitation being put by Nvidia on low cost GPU usage on data centers. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/01/03/nvidia_server_gpus/ We thought of providing an option in glusterfs by which we can control if we want to use GPU or not. So, the concern of gluster eating out GPU's which could be used by others can be addressed. --- Ashish ----- Original
