Git Move: GitHub+modules proposal
Hi all, A short summary: Takumi has done 90% of the work here: https://github.com/llvm-project/llvm-project-submodule and I've been talking to GitHub, and here are the answers to my questions: > 1. How will the umbrella project's auto-increment hook work? Since the umbrella project cannot see the sub-modules' commits without some form of update, there are two ways to do this:

Handle Options Method
Hi, I have an Alteon in test (a sip/rtp load balancer). This Alteon sends to the asterisk box a "SIP OPTIONS" to know if asterisk is alive. However, asterisk sends me a 404 message and not a response like, for example, a Thomson (200 + SDP) I wrote a very little script (you can find it at the end of the email) to send an Options message to asterisk/phones to try. It works

Git Move: GitHub+modules proposal
So, It's been a while and the GitHub thread is officially dead, so I'll propose a development methodology based on the feedback from that thread. This is not *my* view, but all that was discussed in the threads. My objective is to form an official proposal to use Git as our main repository, overcoming all the problems we currently have without creating many others. In the end, I think

problem packaging S4 class that contains a slot of jobjRef class
Hello, I'm trying to package some source files that link R to a broker using a Java API and the rJava package. I am successful doing the connection and operate on it using my R code. I would like to package the files and release the package. I created some S4 classes to hold several Java objects. I use WinXP and R 2.7.1. I've searched RSeek and the Wiki for help, but could not find a

NFS Server on Centos 7.6.1810 dying without reason
I managed to get NFS statistics just before server rebooted. I can reproduce this every time. Question: Am I saturating the SATA bus on the NFS server so violently with the SSDs that the server hard reboots? Perhaps due to the RAID 6 nature of operations? Server info AMD EPYC 7281 16CORE 32 GIG RAM 6xSATA3 SSD 1.9TB in mdadm RAID6 OS: Centos 7.6 SATA controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

issues with SSOAP when wsdl has ComplexTypes
I recently started trying R and SSOAP and was able to successfully try a "hello world" service. I am now trying to get a more complicated interface to work with SSOAP and so far failed miserably at that and so need any help I can get from here. The service I am attaching is a prototype for a full service that would take information to identify a data source and a query to run and return

2FA for Dovecot
I block all my email ports except 25 from countries where I am not going to be sending or receiving email. I also block many datacenters, but blocking Digital Ocean, Vultur and AWS will get you 90%of the way there. You will need to use 587, that is no auth on 25. Again no blocking on 25, just block the other email ports. I get maybe one attempt to log into my email account a week. Yeah not as

Multiprotocol File Sharing via NFSv4 and Samba
FreeNAS / FreeBSD have native NFSv4 ACLs. They do however lack kernel oplock support so there are perhaps some caveats in that regard. Best method of grabbing Now Playing metadata with PHP?
Hi, Fred... Many thanks for the suggestion! If we simply want to output metadata as you describe, how much,if any, of the prerequisites described in https://github.com/RadioFreeAsia/GlassPlayer/blob/master/INSTALL can we dispense with? We are dealing with a shared hosting system for the host so installing the bare minimum would be a good idea (especially as we may have to ask the provider to

Password protect a queue from callers?
Hi, We currently testing a trixbox/asterisk installation and have used Freepbx to set-up and configure the box and it is running tremendously well. We have an generic IVR configured to which can transfer callers to a child IVR. This child IVR has a number of options to send the caller off to various queues. However we would like to protect some of the options with a password/pin number so that

TFA authentication in dovecot, using XMPP and RFC 4226
Hello, I would like to implement some kind of two factors authentication, in Dovecot. I am thinking about using the post login script, to check for unusual behaviour, like say, a different country / IP address or an unusual hour. I already wrote a simple shell script that check these factors, but now, I have some options for the following, and I need to know your opinion if this is feasible or
