"/var/lib/glusterd/vols/<vol-name>" directory from all the nodes along with
glusterd.logs and command-history.
Thanks

vol status detail - times out?
Yes it could as depending on number of bricks there might be too many brick
ops involved. This is the reason we introduced --timeout option in CLI
which can be used to have a larger time out value. However this fix is
available from release-3.9 onwards.

Logs from newly added node helped me in RCA of the issue.
Info file on node 10.5.6.17 consist of an additional property
"tier-enabled" which is not present in info file from other 3 nodes, hence
when gluster peer probe call is made, in order to maintain consistency
across the cluster cksum is compared. In this
case as both files are different leading to different cksum, causing state

IPSEC VPN tunnel with dynamic DNS
Hi all
Hi everyone
Shorewall 3.2.6 and OpenSWAN 2.4.4-18.2 are on SLES10 machine with public
fixed IP address on Internet interface. I am trying to establish IPSEC VPN
tunnel to network behind D-Link DI-804HV VPN router who is on dynamic IP
address. For this I am using dyndns.org alias on DI804 side.
Shorewall is stopping all packets comming from DI804 whey trying to
establish tunnel. Log on

tinc vpn over http-tunnel
Hi Guus,
I?m using tinc since 1.0pre4 (and still use pre4) - it?s a great thing.
Since these day?s a part of my VPN relies on a http-tunnel (because you
used a single TCP connection as carrier). With 1.0pre4 that was very
easy to setup using the TCPonly setting.
But with 1.0pre5 it seems you changed the carrier connection setup, so
that my old setup didn?t work anymore. In the meantime you

VPN to tunnel W2K and Solaris8
_____
Hi,
I've accidently found "tinc" and very interesting in using it.
I 'm finding way to setup vpn to tunnel the link between two machines, one
is running Microsoft windows 2000 server and another is Solaris 8.
I would like to setup the w2k machine as VPN server, while the Solaris as a
client. Can I do that by using "tinc"? Could you please advise which

Executing "gluster volume set all cluster.op-version <op-version>"on all
the existing nodes will solve this problem.
If issue still persists please provide me following logs (working-cluster
+ newly added peer)
1. glusterd.info file from /var/lib/glusterd from all nodes
2. glusterd.logs from all nodes
3. info file from all the nodes.
4. cmd-history from all the nodes.
Thanks

LocalDiscovery detecting nodes through tunnel
Hi,
I have tried the LocalDiscovery feature of tinc.
The problem is that it also sends broadcast probes out the CPN interface
*and* detects nodes on the VPN. A connection is then established through
the tunnel, which effectively breaks connectivity between the two nodes.
I do not think that discovering hosts on the VPN makes sense in any way.
How can it be disabled?
I could easily netfilter

VPN As SIP Tunneling?
Hi All
Could a VPN be used to help with SIP Tunneling and QoS issues.
State 1:
Two IP Networks Connected via the Public Internet transmitting VoIP Traffic
Say a VoIP User and VoIP Termination Provider.
Each side can put QoS onto their part, but if QoS does NOT exist between
them
then call quality will be bad anyhow.
State 2:
Same as above except a VPN tunnel is setup between each side.

IPSEC tunnel for remote internet access
Hello list,
I need to provide internet access through a proxy server on a central
office to a remote Lan on a branch office (LAN-B). Also there is an
internal server
that LAN-B machines should reach.
Below there is a simple diagram.
Right now I have an IPsec VPN tunnel between offices, and LAN-B can
acces LAN-A machines without problems. But LAN-B machines can't access
the remote proxy or

traffic shaping a box with vpn tunnels.
Greetings,
I''ve got a server with a bunch of vpn (openvpn) tunnels terminating on it. I''m
trying to limit the total bandwidth the tunnels can use to 3mbit. So I
applied a rule like this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 90
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 100mbit burst 15k
heal info OK but statistics not working
1) one peer, out of four, got separated from the network,
from the rest of the cluster.
2) that unavailable(while it was unavailable) peer got
detached with "gluster peer detach" command which succeeded,
so now cluster comprise of three peers
3) Self-heal daemon (for some reason) does not start(with an
attempt to restart glusted) on the peer which probed that
fourth peer.
VPN through PPP
Hi all,
This is probably not the right place for this question, but maybe
someone can help me out. I am trying to setup a VPN between two private
addresses, using iproute2 (which is my only excuse for mailing this list).
The setup is as below :
