Singal channel spike in controls with custom microRNA slides - Normalization help needed
Hi, I'm working with custom slides(Cy5) and working in the normalization of the arrays. I have three arrays (technical replicates). I have sucesfully normalized the data using vsn, however i would like to normalize using spike in controls. My controls are annotated as CTL-1 to x and i would like to do etiher a normalization by block per array or the mean of all the controls per array. The gal

active_support/mini_xml question/bug?
I''ve hit a problem which no one on the regular rails list seems to know about. I''ve studied the rails code but I can''t get to the bottom of it, so I thought I''d ask here. It''s about active_support/mini_xml: Seems to me that {}.to_xml is generating one level too many of xml structure, but I may be interpreting things incorrectly... I''ve reduced

anyone care to point me in the right direction? LVS
i'm trying to setup LVS, and tried both the lvs-dr and the lvs-nat, but can't get any to work. I'm hoping people here can answer a few questions that might help and shed light onto the situation? #1 with regards to the Real Servers, is there anything that needs to be configured other that the http service? I ask this, because I suspect yes, and it has to do with what type of LVS you

Transparent proxy with LVS
I've managed to configure a LVS Cluster to act as a transparent proxy squid farm, with a virtual server as load balancer, and three real servers. Because redirecting packets going to port 80 to port 3128 of squid in the load balancer doesn't works, the solution has a mix of ip route and iptables. Here is the script I wrote to configure transparent proxy. #!/bin/bash #Transparent proxy

masq rules for LVS
Hi, I need some special masq rules to allow internal servers to resolve public IP''s which are loadbalanced by LVS - the rule are: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -m ipvs --vaddr <LVS PUBLIC IP>/32 --vport 80 -j SNAT --to-source <LVS INTERNAL IP> Also I need to enable: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/conntrack Currently I do all this from /etc/shorewall/started - but is

Implementing LVS changes made in Piranha GUI
Every time I touch something, pieces fall off! It's a good thing this stuff isn't in production yet (for me I mean). So I had an LVS, configured with Piranha, directing http test transactions across two servers. I used Piranha to add another realserver. It appeared in the lvs.cf file, but didn't appear in the ipvsadm output. So I stopped and restarted Pulse. And now *none* of the

Setting Up LVS to Load Balance DNS
Greetings, all: OS: CentOS 6.4 x86_64 Kernel: 2.6.32-358.14.1 I could use some assistance with setting up pulse to load balance my dns servers. I've configured tcp and udp port 53 with the piranha gui, set up arptable rules on the real servers and added the virtual ip to the bond0 interface on the real servers, but I'm still having no luck in getting things going. A dig against the

[PATCH] daemon: lvm: Only return public LVs from guestfs_lvs API (RHBZ#1278878).
When a disk image uses LVM thinp (thin provisioning), the guestfs_lvs API would return the thinp pools. This confused other APIs because thinp pools don't have corresponding /dev/VG/LV device nodes. Filter the LVs that are returned using "lv_role=public". Thanks: Fabian Deutsch --- daemon/lvm.c | 4 +++- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/daemon/lvm.c

[PATCH 4/5] daemon: lvm: list PVs/VGs/LVs with --foreign
The appliance has no LVM system ID set, which means that lvm commands will ignore VGs with a system ID set to anything. Since we want to work with them, pass --foreign at least when listing them to see them. Shorewall and LVS-NAT (via fwmark) nat'd machines can't access the outside world directly
Hi guys, I''m not sure where to post for help on this one, shorewall or lvs, I''ll start with shorewall (only cause Tom is a gun at this stuff, and is polite enough to tell me to bugger off to the LVS list if I''m posting in the wrong one ;) I have a single box that is my router/firewall/LVS. Re: using LVM thin pool LVs as a storage for libvirt guest
Please don't use lvm thin for vm. In our hosting in Russia we have 100-150 vps on each node with lvm thin pool on ssd and have locks, slowdowns and other bad things because of COW. After we switching to qcow2 files on plain ssd ext4 fs and happy =). 2017-11-04 23:21 GMT+03:00 Jan Hutař <jhutar@redhat.com>: > Hello, > as usual, I'm few years behind trends so I have learned
