Efficient passing through big data.frame and modifying select fields
Hi all,
I have relatively big data frames (> 10000 rows by 80 columns) that need to be exposed to "merge". Works marvelously well in general, but some fields of the data frames actually contain multiple ";"-separated values encoded as a character string without defined order, which makes the fields not match each other.
Example:
> frame1[1,1]
[1] "some;thing"

The error codes for' doveadm user' should be improved to avoid error handling workarounds when scripting commands:

$ echo $?

$ doveadm user foo

Histogram/Bar plot graph
Hi,
I have the following data:
> Myvalues
Gene ES MEF Embryo ESHyp
1 GeneA -0.38509507 0.00 1.6250 1.7039921
2 GeneB 0.06262914 0.00 1.6250 -0.272033
and so on...
I want to plot the expression values of GeneA and GeneB in the
different cell/embryo/conditions (columns 2:5 above). Now, if I do:
>library(ggplot2)
> qplot(x=Gene, Embryo, geom =

R 1.1.1 (and 1.2.0) on Mac (PPC) and "/afm/" bugs (?)
Hy (I hope this is the right list).
1. Mac porting
I'm finishing the porting of R for Mac. I hope to finish it for the
end of september. Thanks to the porting of R 0.64 by Ross (that he
gave me) I succeded in this porting. This is the current state:
Both R 1.1.1. and 1.2.0 works with minor modification to the original
code. The Macintosh device has been updated to the new version of

Doveadm search in public namespaces
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Say I want to create a script to perform some 'doveadm' tasks. Is there any particular reason why "mailbox-guids" would not work for public namespaces?
Let's search something to play with:

Quota Calculation seems to be wrong when using dsync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Recently I encountered odd quota increases when using 'dsync' with the latest and greatest: 2.0.8 (89936539e3b8).
Say you got something in place like this:
plugin {
quota = dict:user::file:%h/mdbox/dovecot-quota
quota_rule = *:storage=1GB
quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+10%%
}
Kick off a manual backup:
$ dsync -u user at domain.tld

new R packages for phylogenetic compartive methods
Dear all,
I wanted to let you know about four phylogenetic comparative methods (PCM) packages that have become available on (3 on CRAN and 1 on GitHub) recently that hopefully will be interesting to somebody. Three of them go significantly beyond the Brownian motion (BM) and Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (OU) processes.
1) There is a new version of mvSLOUCH available. The most important change is that

Sieve rule issue with certain character sets
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I have a global sieve rule in place to filter mailing-lists. This has worked well so far. Recently however one subscriber on a list seems to create strange character set encodings in the 'From' and 'To' headers. This leads to unprocessed/unfiltered mails (no errors thrown). Is this a configuration or Pigeonhole issue (latest HG used)?

passwd, gid and uid
I forgot the answer for this: in
http://wiki.dovecot.org/AuthDatabase/PasswdFile, we have the passwd file
defined as
user:password:uid:gid:(gecos):home:(shell):extra_fields
What should the uid and gid be associated with? In my setup I told
postfix to use Dovecot LDA's deliver, which then is saving files as
uid:gid of 1500:1500. How would that affect the uid:gid used in the
passwd file?

Login with firstname.lastname instead of loginname - WORKING
3 years ago (!) I aksed about this and finally I implemented it today:

>> driver = passwd
>> # firstname.lastname at charite.de:password:uid:gid:(gecos):home:(shell):user=realloginname
>> args = /usr/local/etc/dovecot.login_via_email

>If you're only using it as a passdb, you don't need the uid/gid/home.

Help
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to excess the inbuit .Fortran and .C codes of R. Can any one
help me in that. For example in kmeans clustering the algorithms are written
in .Fortran I want to access them and see the .Fortran syntax of the codes.
Can any one help me how can I do that?
Thanx,

Aspects
I''ve become very fond of Yurii Rashkovskii''s "aspects". For such a
simple change they make it a LOT easier to navigate, read and verify
specs. Are there any plans to include something like this in RSpec?
