tk_choose.files without multiple selection?
Dear all,
I compared tk_choose.files on linux with choose.files or tk_choose.files on windows and found that tk_choose.files does not allow multiple selection on linux - independent on keyword setting "multi".
> tk_choose.files(default=paste(path.original,"",sep=""),caption="Select file(s)")
On linux I get the error message:

IPv6 hosts allow|deny
Hi all,
Does anyone know what the status is of Hideaki Yoshifuji's IPv6 ACL patch?
He's submitted this twice now, and that was 3 months ago. Judging by the
comments made when this was submitted, it's apparently not understood how
important this is.
- if you IPv6 on your rsync server, you can not secure it with "hosts
allow".
- if you enable IPv6 on an rsync server

problem post request with RCurl
Hi, I am trying to use a CGI service (Pubchem PUG) via RCurl and am
running into a problem where the data must be supplied via POST - but
I don't know the keyword for the argument.
The data to be sent is an XML fragment. I can do this via the command
line using curl: I save the XML string to a file called query.xml and
then do
curl -d @query.xml

Hi Roy (& others)
Many thanks for the advice - well taken. Thanks also to the others who
have responded so quickly - I thought I might have to wait days!! :-)
I'm on a Linux (Mint) machine. Below, I document three attempts, two
using officer and the last now using textreadr
My attempts so far using 'officer':

problems building R-2.9.0 on solaris
Hi,
I've successfully updated our linux version of R to 2.9.0 but am
having trouble on our solaris machine. I had previously installed
2.8.1 and earlier versions without trouble.
I'm using R-patched_2009-05-20.tar.gz (I had also tried the 2009-05-10
version). Here's some info on our machine (I'm not the sysadmin):

Passing parameters
Hi,
I've got an R script that I'm trying to turn into a ArcGis script tool so
that I can run it from ModelBuilder in Arc. Arc isn't giving me any errors
when I run the model holding the current tool, but the run time for the R
script is 0 seconds. I don't know if the parameters aren't being passed
properly or what. I'm a programming newbie, and I can't even figure

Hi Eric
Thanks for that. That seems to fix one problem (the lack of a

tcltk on linux/rhel6
Dear All,
I've seen posts to the effect that..
1) choose.dir is only available for windows, and
2) tk_choose.dir would be the linux equivalent.
I'm still having trouble with the subject package on linux/rhel6.
I've specified --with-tcltk during ./configure, and I still get the response...

choose folder interactively
Dear users,
I am looking for a function to choose a folder interactively, just like

I have found tcltk::tk_choose.dir() but R hangs when I try to do
anything and I have to force exit.
I've tried to reinstall tcltk with install.packages(), but "package

director lmtp -> smtp problem
Hi Timo & Dovecot users,
We have a 2-node director setup which front-ends for 4 nodes which share
a clustered filesystem (GFS). All nodes run Dovecot 2.0.18.
Approximately 40k users, but typically only a few thousand active at any
time.
The director nodes run sendmail, which deliver mail "locally" using LMTP
to the director, which then feeds to SMTP on the real servers (also

FYI, we saw one panic on our director/lmtp-proxy yesterday. It's running

it is anyway:

Thanks Philippe for your answer!
It doesn't work for me, but I guess I have something wrong with Tcl/Tk.

panic with lmtp proxy (assertion failed)
Hello!
Got a panic&assertion failed with LMTP proxy. Target Dovecot LMTP
server hanged and Dovecot LMTP proxy server started logging
panics/assertions. Core dumps were disabled unfortunately, so I don't
know if this is helpful at all:
