arsenal v0.5.0: An Arsenal of 'R' Functions for Large-Scale Statistical Summaries
I'm pleased to announce the release of the "arsenal" package v0.5.0 on CRAN (https://cran.r-project.org/package=arsenal). There are 4 items I want to mention: 1. arsenal is now on github: https://github.com/eheinzen/arsenal 2. ~10 bugs have been fixed in the latest release. 3. Tired of subsetting data.frames and losing your labels? Try the new keep.labels

testing table associations
First, thanks to everyone who replied to my pluralization question from before! Today I''m confused by associations. I''ve set up a bunch of associations in my models to describe these relationships: - each user can have many bookmarks and tags - each bookmark can have many users and tags - each tag can have many bookmarks and users (Part of what is confusing is that I can

update_attributes updates data from second instance of nested form but not the first
Got a weird situation with an update put to a controller with a form with nested attributes. On the data below, I am updating data for both items (''0'' and ''1'') in rosters_attributes (in the example below I am updating the ''name'' attribute to a new value in both cases. What I am stuck on is that ''1'' gets its data updated,

Any chess players here?
The Internet Chess Club, launched a new chess interface in August. Besides being a terrific client for connecting and playing chess on ICC, it has a built-in chess engine with 14 personalities from beginner to GM's that you can play off-line. You can also add-in other chess engines. If you try it, I'm sure you'll agree it is one of the best chess clients available. It is now at

minor public folder problem still in v1.0.0
This minor problem still exists in the current version. http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2006-December/018251.html It's my own fault, I kept meaning to test one of the latest versions before the 1.0 release and never got around to it. Oh well, just mentioning it so it stays on the list of things to do. 1.0.0 update from RC15 went smoothly here. Thanks, Mark Nienberg

That's true, but issues, checkouts, comments, credit, etc should all be going to the original repo. Anything else seems grossly unfair to the package author(s). This issue is exacerbated even further when the the author isn't developing the package on github at all, and github users may unintentionally begin to view the forks as the actual canonical sources for the package. Also, the

I cannot speak for other package authors, but for all my own packages, I have provided the BugReports field in DESCRIPTION that points to the Github issues page. You can probably use this field to check if a package is on Github or not. If it is, you may just fork the original repo instead of creating a new one from the CRAN package. I'm not sure how technically difficult it would be for you.
