Post for R
Hi Carrie, You may have a problem with this if some subsets are empty: L3<-lapply(split(df,cut(df$max,seq(0,1,by=0.01))), split,cut(df$submax,seq(0,0.2,by=0.02))) Jim On Thu, Jun 1, 2017 at 12:48 PM, carrie wang via R-help <r-help at r-project.org> wrote: > > Hello, > I want to split the dataframe into 1000 groups based on two column values(max value and second max value).

Post for R
Hello,? I want to split the dataframe into 1000 groups based on two column values(max value and second max value). First, I made two lists L1 and L2. ?L1 is the list divided into 100 groups based on the range of max value and L2 is divided into 10 groups based on the second max values. Now I want to do the combinations based on L1 and L2. I want to do a for loop for L1 and for each element in L1,

They're a ton of fun to tinker with too. I am also an old guy and didn't want to use the Rpi for this purpose. However, many years

System Time Source
Warren, one slight correction on an other wise nicely written bit of info: The time transmitted from WWV is not Mountain Time. Even though the WWV transmitter farm is located in the Mountain time zone, the signals are transmitted as "Coordinated Universal time", UTC, or 'Zulu' time. Here, you can listen to a recording made at the transmitter site for the 5Mhz signal:

¿Reglas de estilo para código en R?
Hola: Me suena algo de que el año pasado alguien dijo algo sobre unas sugerencias de reglas de estilo para escribir código en R. No he oído nada más en esta lista (a lo mejor se me ha pasado por alto) Ayer se publicó un mensaje sobre esto precisamente en un blog en inglés: http://pairach.com/2012/06/06/r-style-guide/ (copiado debajo para facilitar la lectura y comentarios en esta lista)

icecast2 transcode?
I've got a dilema. For months, I've been planning and implementing a large project involving vorbis, ices2, icecast2 and wifi networking. The plan is to stream live audio from 10 Austin nightclubs during the SXSW music festival this March. Well yesterday, it was made plain to me that I must also provide mp3 streams, since "it's an mp3 world." I'm upset about this

remove-source-files checking for open files?
hi We have a box here connected to an antenna receiving rather large amounts of metheorological data from a satellite. the data is received and ransferred to another box and removed from the receiving server. I first thought of using rsync for this, but it seems --remove-source- files has no way of checking if the file is open or not, so if the receiving process is still writing to a

Notepad appends ".txt" to file names it looks for
The program I'm using is 4NEC2, a freeware antenna-modelling program. I'm running wine-0.9.61 on Gentoo Linux on a Dell with Intel Core Duo cpu. Let's say I'm working on a design that I call "fubar". 4NEC2 will create files with names like "fubar.NEC" and "fubar.log". 4NEC uses Notepad to open the files for viewing. For some reason, my system

I'm trying to install a program from a CD-ROM that is included with a publication called the ARRL Antenna Book, 19th Edition which claims compatibility with Windows up to 2000. Educational App Problem (4nec2x): Fail When 3d Window Closed
I've looked at the faq page, searched through the forum (users), looked around appdb and did a tenative look in the bugzilla and can't seem to find my problem so here goes: When using my antenna analysis app, 4nec2x (free and easy to find), Wine performs like a champ in all respects save one. If I open the 3d window (by pushing F9), the performance is as is to be expected unless you

OT: Cellular boosters
We use Motorola v551's as "extensions" on our Asterisk system with a homebrew find me/follow me dialplan. It works great except where coverage is poor then of course the inbound call hits voicemail. This has nothing to do with Asterisk and everything to do with our cellular provider, but since you guys are telephony pros I'd like to ask if anyone has had any good or bad
