I'm trying to setup Oracle/Sun java rather than icedtea. I've installed the latest jdk 1.7 and setup alternatives on centos for java and javac: # java -version java version

Have the jpackage-packaged things like tomcat5 been moved into the disto repositories? Do they work with sun java? In particular, tomcat5 used to require jta. The one yum installs doesn't mention it now, but it also doesn't work with sun java 1.5 installed the jpackage way. What am I missing? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com

Hi I am seeing this issue on a RHEL4 box but i presume that the same will be for CentOS4.5 I am trying to get tomcat5 up and running using only upstream rpm's, as opposed to own rolled like i have done before, and hitting this issue.
