Need help for EM algorithm ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I created a EM algorithm for Generalized hyperbolic distribution.
I want to estimate mutheldaplus, sigmatheldaplus, betasigmaplus in my code.
After getting use these value , then my iteration have to be begin of this code.
But I can not to do iteration part.
Can you help me use my code and get iteration ?
Do know any useful code for EM algorithm for Generalized Hyperbolic

boundary correction - univariate kernel density estimation
Hey,
Does anyone know of a package in R that provides univariate kernel
density estimation with boundary correction ?
or how to easily extend an existing bivariate kernel density estimation
function (e.g. lambdahat in the spatialkernel package) with boundary
corrections to allow univariate density estimation?
Thanks a lot,
Steve B.

aggregate syntax for grouped column means
I am calculating the mean of each column grouped by the variable 'id'.
I do this using aggregate, data.table, and plyr. My aggregate results
do not match the other two, and I am trying to figure out what is
incorrect with my syntax. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Here is the data.

Standard error of normalmixEM fit?
I fitted a mixture denstiy of two gaussians two my data. I now want to
calculated the standard errors of the estimates via the boot.se command of
the mixtools package. My question is now, if the output is correct? It
seems a bit odd to me, so is this correct what I am doing and can I rely on
the values?

Correlation Matrix with a Covariate
R Help -
I'm trying to run a correlation matrix with a covariate of "age" and will
at some point will also want to covary other variables concurrently.
I'm using the "psych" package and have tried other methods such as writing
a loop to extract semi-partial correlations, but it does not seem to be
working. How can I accomplish this?

I am trying to run an autologistic model using the function errorsarlm from spdep package.

[FOR REVIEW ONLY] ESX work in progress
The following patches are where I'm currently at with ESX support. I can now
import a domain from ESX along with its storage. Note that I'm not yet doing any
conversion. In fact, I've never even tested past the import stage (I just had an
exit in there).
The meat is really in the 4th patch. The rename of MetadataReader->Connection
was because the Connection is now really providing

Question Regarding SystemZ Implementation Missing Instructions
Hi All,
I had some questions regarding the SystemZ implementation and missing
instructions.
I've been comparing the IBM z/Architecture Reference Summary (SA22-7871-08)
to the output of
"llvm-tblgen SystemZ.td -print-enums -class=Instruction" and noticed that
there's 525 missing instructions.
For example, if I look at instruction "M" (page 16) with opcode 0x5c (M

Running Samba on a masquerading router
Hi,
I'm running Samba 2.2.1 on a NAT machine. Only hosts from the
private net are allowed access (hosts allow and interfaces set to
the private network only). My problem is that domains from the
'public' network are still appearing on my private network, albeit
inaccessible. It's almost as if the browse-list mechanism is
picking them up on the public interface.
Is there a way

[ESX support] Working ESX conversion for RHEL 5
With this patchset I have successfully[1] imported a RHEL 5 guest directly from
ESX with the following command line:
virt-v2v -ic 'esx://yellow.marston/?no_verify=1' -op transfer RHEL5-64
Login details are stored in ~/.netrc
Note that this is the only guest I've tested against. I haven't for example,
checked that I haven't broken Xen imports.

A question about GRAMMAR calculations in the FAM_MDR algorithm
Dear R developers:
I am a PHD candidate student in the school of public health of Peking
University and my major is genetic epidemiology. I am learning the FAM-MDR
algorithm, which is used to detect the gene-gene and gene-environment
interactions in the data of pedigree. The codes were written by Tom
Cattaert of the University of Liege. The algorithms and the sample datasets

RExcel waiting for OLE action
When I run a macro that uses RExcel, I get a dialog box that says
"Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE
action."
There is no error in the RExcel commands in the macro, of that I am sure.
The box appears to be related to the inclusion of RunRFile commands.
The macro will run through the second RunRFile command, but will not
execute the

Users and Share Drives migration from NT to Linux
Hello Everyone:
Hope you all had a nice Christmas!
I am facing a situation that I have never faced before. I have a the latest
version of Samba running on a RH Linux 6.2 and a Windows 2000 Domain
Controller that authenticates users and provide share drives for the
internal network, As the economy here in the US is downgrading, I am forced
to add more Linux server (as a replacement to Windows for
