Question re the plotrix package
Dear list, I am using the ?clock24.plot command in this excellent package to plot animal activity data. Does anyone know if both symbols and a line can be plotted on the same plot to show both raw data (symbols) and a line (describing a statistical model of the pattern) ? If you pass more values, it will process them: ISOdate(2018,01,22) [1] "2018-01-22 12:00:00 GMT" > ISOdate(2018,01,22,18,17) [1] "2018-01-22 18:17:00 GMT" Add something like: if(is.null(data$hour),data$hour<-12 then pass data$hour as it will default to the same value as if you hadn't passed it. polar.plot orientation and scale in plotrix
Hello all- I would like to orient my polar.plot (from package plotrix) so that the circular scale runs clockwise and the origin (ie. 0 degrees) starts at the top of the plot. The defaults of running the scale counter-clockwise and beginning with 90 degrees at the top of the graph seems counter-intuitive to me. I'm using R 2.5.0, and plotrix version 2.2-4. Many thanks, Tim

installing grid package
Hi all, I can't understand why grid package failed to installed on my machine. Can anybody have a look and advice on where I am missing it. My R version is 2.9.2. After untarring: tar xzvf grid_0.7-4.tar.gz, I tried to configure or make but none worked, 'no such files'. Dear list, Thanks for your time. I was surprised. While I was still waiting for your response, I entered R and discovered that it has been updated!!!! I hurried logged out and went home since I had overstayed battling with it. I wonder how the update happened with the numerous errors that were reported. I wish I will be able to find out, otherwise, I am off with my analysis with the new version :)
