NaN in hurdle model please?
Simplify your model. Does your TandemRepeat have a lot of levels? Or is your sample size very small? Alain Dear all, I am fitting a hurdle model in the following way: HNB <- hurdle(chro ~ as.factor(TandemRepeat)| as.factor(TandemRepeat), data =data_negbin_fin, dist = "negbin") But the std. error for log(theta) = NA Count model coefficients (truncated negbin with log link):

Predicted values for zero-inflated Poisson
Hi all- I fit a zero-inflated Poisson model to model bycatch rates using an offset term for effort. I need to apply the fitted model to a datasets of varying levels of effort to predict the associated levels of bycatch. I am seeking assistance as to the correct way to code this. Thanks in advance! Lmer binomial distribution x HLM Bernoulli distribution
Dear R-users, I'm running a lmer model using the lme4 package. My dependent variable is dichotomous and I'm using the "binomial" family. The results are slightly different from the HLM results based on a Bernoulli distribution. I read that a Bernoulli distribution is an extension of a binomial distribution. Is that right? If so, how can I adapt my R model to a Bernoulli

Random Bernoulli sequences with given point-biserial correlation?
Dear R-listers, Can someone suggest a method for generating a finite Bernoulli sequence that is likely to have a given point-biserial correlation with an existing Bernoulli sequence? _____________________________ Professor Michael Kubovy University of Virginia Department of Psychology USPS: P.O.Box 400400 Charlottesville, VA 22904-4400 Parcels: Room 102 Gilmer Hall

generating correlated Bernoulli random variables
Hi all, I was wondering how to generate samples for two RVs X1 and X2. X1 ~ Bernoulli (p1) X2 ~ Bernoulli (p2) Also, X1 and X2 are correlated with correlation \rho. Regards, Vineet [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Feature request: Have t.test return (group-wise) SD and N
Dear readers, Lm returns all information necessary to reconstruct summary statistics by group. However, t.test only returns the group means, and not the group SDs, or even the group Ns. These cannot be reconstructed from the test statistic and df, because the df are already pooled, except under a very strict assumption of equality of groups and variances. I need these summary statistics for a
