RV: problems for making grids from lmer models
Dear colleagues: I am working with binary mixed models using lme4 package and everything works fine until I try to spatialize the fitted models using grids predictors. I have used the "predict" function from RASTER package and the RSAGA functionalities, but always I have the same error: "Error in object$xlevels : $ operator not defined for this S4 class". I think the

minimum AIC mixed model selection
Hi! I am trying to know which habitat variables most affect bird counts in a radius of 100m. I obtained bird counts in 2751 spatial points, and measured percentage of 21 habitat variables in these points. I applied a mixed model using the "lmer" function to these data, but I do not know how to select the best model using AIC here. Is there a way to do this automatically with R?

Pairwise comparison after repeated measures ANOVA
I am analyzing some data obtained after measuring some parameters at different times in samples obtained from many subjects. The model is quite simple: aov(parameter ~ Time + Error(Subject/Time)) Now I want to make a pairwise comparison between the levels of Time. However, I have not find how to do such a thing. I cannot use TukeyHSD or pairwise.t.test, I supposse. Maybe using contrasts? Could

Combinatoria

Hola amigos, buenos días Esto sigue avanzando.

Doubt about pattern
Hi All, I have a very simple problem. I have several files in a same directory. I would like to send for an object only the files that finish in ".sens.". I execute the command below, files <- dir(pattern="*.sens") but it includes all of the files that have "sens", independent of they be in the end or in the middle of the name of the file. How could I solve

LDA decission boundaries
Hello, I would like to plot the results of a LDA analysis plotting the discriminant scores with the decission boundaries on it with rggobi. I have GGobi already installed on my computer. I have three classes, so the plot would be LD1xLD2 plus the decission boundaries. Here there is the code I use make the plot: library(MASS) data <- zgcppr273K.pca$x[,1:7] Tumor <-

Me sobrevalorás.

Marginal effects of ZINB models
Dear all, I am modeling the incidence of recreational anglers along a stretch of coastline, and with a vary large proportion of zeros (>80%) have chosen to use a zero inflated negative binomial (ZINB) distribution. I am using the same variables for both parts of the model, can anyone help me with R code to compute overall marginal effects of each variable? My model is specified as follows:

generate random sample from ZINB
I want to generate 1,000 random samples of sample size=1,000 from ZINB. I know there is a rnegbin() to generate random samples from NB, and I know I can use the following process: do i=1 to 1000 n=0 do i=1 to 1000 if runi(1)>0.1 then x(i) = 0; else x(i)=rnegbin(); n=n+1; if n>1000 then stop; end; output; end; Anybody can help me out with the R code? Thanks very much ahead of time.
