top on host and guest
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I have a 6.3 guest running on a 6.3 host and the output from top seems strange to me. At least I did not expect this. While in the guest on core is busy with i/o the host seems idle. Does anyone know why it is this way? See the output from top below, first the one from guest, then host. top - 14:12:35 up 12 min, 1 user, load average: 2.76,

Samba 4.1.5 memory consumption - again
Hi all, At the pre-big thanks to the SAMBA team for many years the great work. Sorry for my english. A week ago, have implemented productively Samba 4.1.5 on CentOS 6.5. I installed samba by default dns server built-in (internal) with the rfc2307. Everything works great, but after a while I noticed that the memory on my server is largely occupied. SMP support
Hi, I have recently installed an Icecast 2.3.1 on a couple of dual Xeon CPU x64 server. The server is configured with chroot & changeowner. In order to have an idea of a server's capabilities, used the curl-based script given in http://www.icecast.org/loadtest1.php. I have around 3.5k connections from one server to the other one, on an unique 170Kbps MP3 mountpoint, totalizing 720 Mbit/s

steadily increasing/high loadavg without i/o wait or cpu utilization
Hi all, I just installed centos 5.4 xen-kernel on intel core i5 machine as dom0. After some hours of syncing a raid10 array (8 sata disk) I noticed a steadily increasing loadavg. I think without reasonable i/o wait or cpu utilization the loadavg on this system should be very lower. If this loadavg is normal I would be greatful if somone could explain why. The screenshots below show that there is

Problem having tick marks aligned when plotting three graphs on top of one another.
R 2.10 Windows 7 I am trying to plot three graphs on top of each other. I need to have the axises perfectly aligned. For some reason the ticks on the y axes are slightly off so they do not perfectly align. Can someone tell me how I can get the to overlay each other perfectly? I thought the yaxp parameter would solve my problem, but it does not. My data and code follows: >

Musings on the TableGen -emit-dag-isel backend
A rather notorious aspect of TableGen is the time required to run the -emit-dag-isel backend on some targets, including AMDGPU and X86. I added a timing feature to TableGen and timed the AMDGPU run. ===-------------------------------------------------------------------------=== TableGen Phase Timing

Musings on the TableGen -emit-dag-isel backend
I wouldn't want to be too hasty about simply removing the relaxation algorithm. The size and speed of the compiler affects all users, but the time to compile the compiler "only" affects us compiler developers. And I speak as a developer who is heavily affected by the time to compile the AMDGPU backend. One off-the-cuff idea (I haven't even looked at the code yet): could we pass

startx reboots my computer
Well, sometimes startx reboots my computer. Other times is does nothing except slow it to a halt for a while. Sometimes is locks up. I am using init level 3. At the command line, everything looks fine, and I can do whatever commands I want. When I type startx, then things go down the tubes. What doesn't happen: X never starts No error messages get posted to dmesg no log is generated in

XML: Reading transition matrices into R
Hello, from a software I have the following output in xml (see below): It is a series of matrices, for each age one. I have 3 categories (might vary in the application), hence, 3x3 matrices where each element gives the probability of transition from i to j. I would like read this data into R (preferably in a list, where each list element is one of the age specific matrices) and - after altering

Reverse order of x-axis
Hello, does anybody know, how to reverse the elements of the x-axis. At now my x-axis for example goes from 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, ... to 99.5, 100.0 Is there a way to change the x-axis, like this: 100.0, 99.5, 99.0, ..., 0.5, 0. The 100.0 should start at left x-axis and the 0 shold be on the right. Greeting -- View this message in context:

read big text file into R
Dear Rs: Hi, I am trying to read a big text file (nrows=243440, ncols=144). It seems the computational time of all the read methods (scan, readtable, read.delim) is not linear to the number of rows I want to read in: things became really slow once I tried to read in 100000 lines compare to 10000 lines). If I am reading the profiling result right, I guess scan wouldn't help either. My
