Hello. I just seen some errors in my mongrel application log: It seems related to the httpd OPTIONS keyword Example: Processing LoginController#login (for .30.5.208 at 2007-12-10 09:00:23) [OPTIONS] and our ruby application does not know what to do with it. and finally send an error Does mongrel (which is the http server) is supposed to deal with these kind of request ? Copying a 900 mb file to Windows !!!
Hi, I am writing a puppet manifest to install a service pack on windows, what I observe is that in case the exe file is withing 50 - 70 Mb the transfer to windows happens without any issues. But the current service pack "windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe" is around 900 Mb. My manifest is as follows file { ''c:/temp/windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe'': ensure =>

plot to postscript orientation
Hi I am trying to save some plots in a postscript file. When I generate the plots in the main window, they appear correctly - their orientation is landscape (i.e., horizontal). However, when I open the .ps file with GSview, the whole page appears vertically, and the plot appears horizontally, which means that the plot is only partially visible (example here

This is already nearly done. I can send you binaries of a single user call manager, and the operator manager is in the pipe. Actually, I'll just post these for download.

Sample code for doing a “chunked” webfile HTTP download, and then stream to HTTP upload to another web app?
Hi, QUESTION: Does anyone have sample code that shows how to do an (a) chunked HTTP file download, and then (b) stream this into the HTTP uploading of this to another web application with a file upload controller? BACKGROUND * I''ve been trying to "stream" an existing webpage to a separate web application, using normal http request response approach. * The issue I''m

Permissions problem...I must be overlooking *something*...
I have a share I can't seem to create files on, and I can't figure out why. I get "Access denied" from Windows, and the samba log shows this: [2004/07/13 10:52:26, 2] smbd/open.c:open_directory(1293) open_directory: failing create on read-only share [2004/07/13 10:52:26, 2] smbd/open.c:open_directory(1293) open_directory: failing create on read-only share The share has the

Connection Timeout
This is my first post so first of all I will say hello to everyone. I have rsync configured and working properly on my local network however when I try to connect from a remote host (one located in a different state) the connection times out. I was wondering if there was another way to set the timeout besides in the rsyncd.conf file? As I said the connection works fine on the internal lan, but

Can''t serve files with query string to IE
I''ve been seeing some weird behaviour with IE. I''m running mongrel 1.0.1 with Rails, in a development environment (so Apache/Pound aren''t involved yet). IE (versions 6 and 7) are unable to retrieve any static files (e.g. stylesheets or images) from mongrel if the URL contains a question mark and a query string. It''s okay with static files that don''t

Serve an image up from an action
What I am really trying to do is use the file_column plugin for the file uplaod/storage (to a non-application directory), but serve up the images on my own (without the mage_tag url_for_file_column technique) In the java world, I would simply do something like this: <img src="myImageServlet?id=1"> and myImageServlet would simply return the appropriate mime headers and data

Rails doesn''t serve static files in production mode
I just noticed this: RoR does serve static files on a lighttpd-server just fine - in development mode. If I set it to production in environment.rb - static files are not served anymore (like the scaffold.css). How can I fix this? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Serve files by alias
Hi there. I''d like to serve a bunch of files stored in the filesystem. Unlike serving them directly by their name, I would like to have them served by ID, e.g. like http://example.com/file/1337 serves /u01/media/some.ogm http://example.com/file/2342 serves /u01/media/other.ogm Further I need to add (and eventually modify) headers in the response created by the webserver. How to serve two "inboxes" via imap
Hi In our setup we have mail delivered to /var/spool/mail/<username>. Many users like thunderbird as their MUA and we typically have thunderbird set up to read mail using a movemail account with the local mail directory set to ~/mail so that the mail can be read easily by pine as well. So, when a user clicks the "Get Mail" button in Thunderbird, mail is moved from

Making Mongrel/WEBRick serve static assets with future expires header
I''m creating a Rails application which will be deployed to desktop machines, running both the webserver and the browser (it''s a test- taking application which needs to be able to run without an internet connection). For this reason, I''ll be running Mongrel or WEBRick, without an Apache/ Nginx in front of it as you would normally do. The browser will access the Mongrel

ARC SERVE BACKUP.
Recently we have started using Arc serve backup. The Arc server and the tape library are connected to a Windows 2000 server machine and the data files are stored on many Samba file servers. I have Linux Client Agents installed on all Linux Machine. Now the problem is that when Arc Serve backup the file it always backup the full files irrespective of setting for a differential backup. Is there any reason or need to keep anaconda around after a system is up and running, or would "yum remove anaconda" be a good idea? -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Real D 3D Digital Cinema ~ www.melvilletheatre.com

limits to serve sure a number of users
Hi, lets say dovcot should serve 1000 user (only imaps) without rejecting a users connection because of to short resources. With version 1.x I had to increase login_max_processes_count = ... With 2.x I'm not sure which parameters I have to set. So Thunderbird 3.x has a default value of 5 connections to cache. "dovadm who" shows quite often 5 connections: userx 5 imap (11154
