. Re: Java animations, Google Earth flashing with Compiz
Dear Dotan,
The problem of flashing/flickering in 3D apps/ videos
with Xv enabled on account of non-redirection is limited to AIGLX and not an
issue at all with XGL and compiz. fglrx till date has many mem leaks and
crappy 3d performance on linux especially with compiz enabled. If you want
to use these apps with compiz, for now use XGL. Else just disable compiz

XGL and Xorg confusion
Hi,
As there has been some confusion over Xgl and Xorg here, I thought I'd
just post this. XGL acts as a client to the Xserver and acts as a server for
all programs connecting to itself. Instead of displaying its results on a
monitor, it interprets the display and calls the appropriate OpenGL APIs;
the OpenGL driver physically interacts with the screen, keyboard and mouse.
So you do need

No shutdown option in KDE with Compiz-Fusion
I have installed Compiz-Fusion on several Ubuntu machines, all
different hardware, with KDE. In all of them, the option to shutdown
or reset the computer is absent from the KDE logout buttons when
running Compiz-Fusion. I have searched google and see that others have
this problem, but I do not see a solution. Is there a known solution
to this condition?
Thanks in advance.

FGLRX using Aiglx??
Hi!
AFAIK FGLRX doesnt support glx_ext_texture_from_pixmap, and enabling
composite+dri is resulting in screen corruption even with 8.38.6. Then how
are you guys running it without XGL?

Karthik

have a look over package "imputeTestbench"
Hi Friends,
Have a look over R package "imputeTestbench". It provides a Test bench for
comparison of missing data imputation models/methods. It compares imputing
methods with reference to RMSE, MAE or MAPE parameters. It allows to add
new proposed methods to test bench and to compare with other methods. The
function 'append_method()' allows to add multiple numbers of methods to

The modification in PSF Package
Dear Researchers,
Have a look over updated *R package PSF*. Pattern Sequence Based
Forecasting (PSF) takes univariate time series data as input and assist to
forecast its future values. This algorithm forecasts the behavior of time
series based on similarity of pattern sequences. Initially, clustering is
done with the labeling of samples from database. The labels associated with
samples are then

LTO query
Hopefully someone else on the dev list who has experience with LNT and the
LLVM test-suite will chime in. I've never run it myself. Adding Mehdi since
he ran it with LTO/ThinLTO.
I found some documentation for the test-suite:

Slow Scrolling in Compiz
Listmates,
Hopefully this is a compiz only question. Using the mouse wheel to
scroll down web pages seems to be much slower in compiz than in kde. It
also affects scrolling through long directories in konqueror (ex:
/usr/share/doc/packages) but to a lesser extent than web content.
Is there any setting, fix or workaround that might help?

LTO query
I'm not completely sure what you are asking. Are you looking for
performance benchmarks to use for LTO and ThinLTO testing? Or are you
asking how to build/run with LTO and ThinLTO? Are you asking how to run
LLVM's performance test-suite with LTO and ThinLTO?

Could I have more information about this project? Can this project pan out

Relocation design of different architecture
Thanks for reply, it was really helpful. Can u just be more specific and
tell about processRelocationRef() and resolveRelocation() in
Targets/RuntimeDyld(objectfile format)(arch).h and also in
RuntimeDyldELF.cpp and how the same function is implemented in different
ways in both the files ?
Thanks,
Siddharth
