accessing data by packagename::dataname from within package code fails.
I have narrowed down the problem. The error Error : 'AminoAcids' is not an exported object from 'namespace:bibliospec' Error : unable to load R code in package 'bibliospec' occurs only if I try to access the data using bibliospec::AminoAcids within the initialize method of an R reference class. It does work, as far as I tested everywhere else. In other methods of a

unable to load shared object
Thanks for asking. The path where R tries to load the dll from does not exist I think (or the install process deletes it after the error - might this be the case?): C:/Users/wewol/OneDrive/Documents/R/win-library/3.5/grpc/libs/x64/grpc.dll' When I am checking after the error that path is only valid up to: C:/Users/wewol/OneDrive/Documents/R/win-library/3.5/ So maybe (?) the install process

Hello, I have a package which includes some parameterized r-markdown report which I would also like to build as package vignettes. Is there a way to run the parameterized vignette creation with the package build or package check? Thank you -- Witold Eryk Wolski

sweave xtable and driver RweaveHTML
Hi, So far I used Sweave to create pdf reports. I used xtable to create some tables in the report. But now I would like to use the same snw file to generate an HTML version. The xtable output breaks the RweaveHTML driver. library(R2HTML) Sweave('analyseLFQ.Snw', driver = RweaveHTML) Error in match.arg(options$results, c("Robj", "html", "hide")) :

Parametrized Vignettest in R packages
Dear Duncan, Following your advice (Thank you for it) I did include into the vignettes params: configuration: !r get(data(sample_analysis)) data: !r get(data(skylineconfig)) And everything seemed (see below) to work fine. devtools::build_vignettes() builds the vignettes. Runs with NO error. By this the .Rmd file, html file and corresponding .R files is being placed into the inst/doc

"<<-" assignment no long work in class methods
Hi- I used to use "<<-" to do assignment inside a class method, and just found that now it is broken in R 2.0. For example, the following code ----------------------------------------------------------------------- setClass( "myclass", representation(x="numeric") ) setGeneric("incrXByOne", function(obj) standardGeneric("incrXByOne"))

plot.dendrogram and plot.hclust ZOOM into the height?
Hi, I clustered a distance matrix and would like to draw it using plot.hclust or plot.dendrogram. The dendrogram is not informative because I have a few extremely small dissimilarities in the distance matrix (e.g. 0), but most of the other distances are in the range 1e10+-5000. I would like to show the tree only for the height of 1e10+-5000 but unfortunately their are no parameter like

How to add values to an array at any position.
Hi, How to add values to an array at any position. After the computing add NaN's at positions stored in attr(x,"na.action") of the result vector. /E -- Dipl. bio-chem. Witold Eryk

Problem with _new_ if class "lm" in object representatio n.
Hi, But "any" rises some other problems well known from S3. One has "any" for "free" in S3. You don't need S4. . But I know how "if" polluted functions look like in S3. They are hard to understand and to maintain. Hence I am quite happy to use S4. Type-checking is usefull if you program with data. Also if you are on the "C side" of the

Parametrized Vignettest in R packages
So far you haven't provided a reproducible example yet. I wonder what exactly the object `sample_analysis` is. Sounds like it is an environment. If that is the case, devtools::build_vignettes() will tangle (for the meaning of "tangle", see ?tools::buildVignette) your vignette into an invalid R script. Environments cannot be represented via dput(), so knitr's purl() (eventually

Is there a way to represent the ... argument in signature?
Hi! I guess that it cant work. but maybee I am wrong. I would like to define a function rbind. > rbind function (..., deparse.level = 1) { which works only for objects of class Myclass Is it possible to use something like setMethod("rbind",signature(...="Myclass",deparse.level="numeric") This gives an error. Or should I use rbind.Myclass Eryk. Dipl. bio-chem.
