> I've seen: > https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/PAM_Offline_Authentication I've tried to enable offline logon, and seems to work as expected. I've only found a little strange thing, i think related to the fact that in my DM i've set 'winbind use default domain = yes'. Folowing the wiki, i've enabled offline logon and then done: ['smbcontrol winbind

What you show below is correct. In linux, DOM\user != user If you want that. See: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/OpenSSH_Single_sign-on [realms] SAMDOM.EXAMPLE.COM = { auth_to_local = RULE:[1:SAMDOM\$1] } Now, since im not sure this works ok, i dont use it on my debian servers, i use option2. option2 is ignore the "not recommended setting : "winbind use

Offline login doesn't work with smbclient (NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS)
Hi, I have a samba4 AD setup with 2 DCs and one samba4 server with fileshares. If both my DCs are offline i can't login to any of the shares on the samba4 fileshare server with smbclient, but wbinfo -K works fine and ntlm_auth also works fine with offline cached credentials. ??san???root???~???smbcontrol winbind offline ???san???root???~???smbcontrol winbind onlinestatus PID 292952:

offline logon in 3.4.7-58
Having issues adapting our 3.4 configuration that worked very well using idmap rid in 3.3. It seems like winbind does not cache the credentials despite all of the settings being present. I can set winbind offline via smbcontrol and have it work, but if I reboot the machine (important for my laptops) off the network winbind complains that it can't find the logon server. When disconnected and

Unable to add point and print drivers
Hello, We have been using samba 4.0.9 with good success so far and are looking to add the ability for users to print from network printers shared by Samba. The printing part works fine using coupling with lp and cups. In order to automate this fully for the users, we would like to enable point and print drivers. The print$ share is accessible with no issues and is configured as below :

winbind offline login - NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER (0xc0000064)
Hi All, I tried multiple topics and did some further analyzing regarding this. I found that described error below only appears if I restart the device when connecting from "online" to "offline". If I keep my device running winbind caches the users correctly. Based this I found the following bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1165461 There the

winbind offline login - NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER (0xc0000064)
Hello All, I am at the switch from sssd to winbind based samba domain members (Debian 9 stretch). I am using Samba 4.10.2 packages from Louis ( http://apt.van-belle.nl/ ) and rid backend for idmap. *My problem:* I am able to logon to my domain members using winbind_pam as long as my client is connected to a network where a domain controller is reachable. As soon as I shutdown and connect a

Hi all, i'm just starting out with LLVM (although i've been observing its evolution since that first release some years ago :) I would like to develop a backend for a generic assembly-like language, called NAC (N-Address Code). More info on NAC can be found here: http://www.nkavvadias.com/hercules/nac-refman.html (HTML) http://www.nkavvadias.com/hercules/nac-refman.pdf (PDF) You

Giving a domU direct access to a NIC
Hello, I am experimenting with Snort and other IDS and I would like to use Xen for these tests. This would require me to use port mirroring to sent a bunch of packets to a NIC located on my Xen machine. I don''t really know how Xen networking works, but is it possible to give a domU direct access to a NIC ? Or at least give it enough access so that it can see packets that are not for the
