Hi Rowland, thanks for your reply. > I personally would have used 'cache directory =' , see 'man smb.conf' > for the difference. >From description based on man smb.conf I would absolutely agree. I have tried and set the "cache directory" option but still gencache.tdb (and all other files that were moved) left within the /run/samba (lock directory). Never the

Samba-ad-dc no longer listening on port 135
I have a Samba-ad-dc node no longer listening on port 135 making it impossible to replicate to it and It is holding up a domain upgrade. I appended the testparam output to give someone a chance to tell me how I mis-configured it. Is it possible to configure these these Domain Controllers to replicate over LDAP instead of RPC? -------------- next part -------------- Press enter to see a dump of

hp-ux samba windows client fails to delete directory
Hi Team, I am able to re-produce the same behavior with samba 4.10.0 on Ubuntu 1904 as it was on hp-ux with samba 4.9.0. Scenario:- 1. Configure samba as PDC and start smbd and nmbd daemons. 2. Map samba share on 2 Windows PC#1 and PC#2 with same credentials created by pdbedit -a command 3. Windows PC#1 creates two directories, \FOLDER_A\FOLDER_B in the Samba share 4.
